Watching the film Girlfight (2000), it really is driving home that thing about how far back transphobia has pushed mainstream feminism. It's a big thing in the movie that Michelle Rodriguez is allowed to compete in amateur boxing matches cross-gender in her same weight class! If you told her men would always just be inherently better than her, she would punch you!

These last two months have been absolute shit, but I am still so grateful for the part of my book tour I was actually able to do. I know my Dad was so proud. He somehow memorized my tour dates and would text me right before each event to wish me luck and then afterwards to ask how it went.
Hopefully I can pick back up in the fall and come to more cities with more films and more filmmakers. fingers crossed!!!
