If anyone calls you out and tells you that what you’re wearing is ‘attention seeking’, ignore them. You do you. They don’t know that it makes you feel beautiful. They don’t know that it builds up your confidence. They don’t know that it builds up your self esteem. They don’t know you. You don’t need them raining down on your parade because they’re just assuming those things. It’s what THEY think. Don’t let their opinions define you or change you.
Encourage everyone around you to wear what they want! Not all actions are made to satisfy boys. It is not our problem if they think otherwise because we have no control over that. But don’t let those unaddressed issues victimise you or objectify you and stop you from wearing what makes you feel beautiful. Because not all men are wild animals. They can have self control.
