Vicious

Japan sighed as he came home from America's house. After World War Two, Japan and American managed to reconcile their differences and become friends. He enjoyed the American's company it just got tiring sometimes. The other was so energetic it made him exhausted. His hands hurt him from everything.

Greece was already waiting for him in bed. At first, he thought the other was asleep again but the large hands that brought him into bed dispelled that notion.

"Mmmm…" Greece opened his eyes and gazed at his lover. "Welcome home." He leaned up and kissed Japan before noticing how the other held his hands. From the light from the candles, he could see that he had a few blisters and the skin was completely red. "Did Alfred make you work?"

"Ah… No.." Japan looked away. "Just playing video games. Mario cart is vicious."

Dogs

Japan was convinced at Greece was blessed when it came to cats. Felines of all kinds followed and adored the old nation. It wasn't unusual for him to be surrounded by three or four cats at a single time, no matter the time of day.

It was rather cute (unless they were trying to have sex) but it came with a price. All other animals hated the Greek. Dogs barked and growled, horses were wary, even Japan's fluffy pets bit Greece when he picked them up. It wasn't too inconvenient but everyone and a while, he would have to come to his lover's rescue.

It was at America's home when it happened. They had all gone over to celebrate some holiday. Japan was getting ready to leave when his phone rang. It was Greece. He couldn't even say hello before the phone let out a range of sounds.

The first thing he recognized was the barking and growling. Then he heard Greece's voice. "Japan? Could you please help? I'm just outside the building." Unfortunately, the Greek was too much of an animal lover, even for dogs, to even push them away. He was afraid of his nation strength was too much and would hurt the animal.

"I'm on my way." Slightly hurrying, Japan shut the connection and moved to the streets within two minutes. He circled the hotel until he heard the barking. He followed the sound until he saw where Greece was. The Greek was on the old fire escape while a pack of dogs barked underneath him. Two huskies, a golden retriever, a bulldog, and even a Saint Bernard.

"Japan!"

Lightly smiling that Greece was alright, Japan moved over and shooed the dogs away nicely. The canines didn't seem hostile toward him and soon left the alleyway when they got bored. He gazed up at the other when the older dropped to the ground. "Why is it I always find you with dogs?"

Greece smiled and kissed Japan on the cheek. "I believed Turkey cursed me."

"Turkey?"

Another kiss. "Yes."

"I'm just glad you're safe. Curse or not."
