Public blog opening!
Finally, the time is upon us: this Shoujo Byou blog is password-free and open to everyone! It took just short of a month to get the material up and things sorted out, but I hope you’ll check it out!
Now, for this very special occasion I’ve compiled a small list of things currently up for perusal for your browsing convenience:
There are two basic about pages: one for Shoujo Byou, and one for the blog. It might be a good idea to take a look if you’re not sure what this is all about.
The albums that are up and translated are: - Giten Seksalis - Souhaku Shisferia - Doukoku Luksein - Zankyou Legion
If you are new to Shoujo Byou’s music, it’s best to read these in this very order (they are also listed here in order of release). To quickly summarize: Giten Seksalis introduces the character Seksalis, the namesake of this humble blog, and the so-called storyteller at world’s end. Souhaku Shisferia begins the current narrative of the five witches with the first witch, and Doukoku Luksein introduces the character Luksein, a key character who will make repeated appearances in many albums to come. Finally, Zankyou Legion tells the story of the second witch (Luksein is in this one) and introduced the character Francheska, another very important character to the overall narrative.
A quick look at the albums page should tell you that there’s a lot of material left to be translated. There’s a few albums and singles between Giten Seksalis and Souhaku Shisferia, and even more after Zankyou Legion… but rest assured, I will eventually cover everything! It might take a long while though.
The World and Characters page is virtually nonexistent at present (the curious will find only some placeholder text). I need to figure out how I will go about tackling it, so it might stay that way for some time yet. We shall see.
Lastly — fanart. I’ll begin posting fanart from pixiv (appropriately sourced, of course) very soon, but only of the translated albums! Spoilers are spoilers after all.
Now, for some future plans. Albums that I will probably tackle soon are: - Reimei Lorelei (I have a base translation to work with, I might get it done quickly) - Shinkan Segreto (the base translation is done, but I need to upload Reimei Lorelei first as it’s the backstory of two of its characters) - metaphor (it contains Ciruela’s backstory, and it’s only 2 tracks) - unleash (It’s the continuation of Raiza’s story, and it’s 3 tracks).
