finished rewatching given and watched all the movies and ova and i realised that syh's umihe used a portion of the melody from given's fuyu no hanashi and now i'm thinking: was there any discussion about this? because you can't simply use a melody from a person's song because of copyright issues. if the bands did discuss, this is what i'd imagine the discussion to be like (utc):

given: did you guys deadass just use our melody from fuyu no hanashi

syh (but tbh mainly hiiragi bc shizu is too tired for this): ackshually ☝️🤓 our ex-vocalist wrote the melody first, hence it's technically ours and you guys stole it

Hiiragi appreciation part 2!

Hiiragi thinks he knows what Shizu is talking about… he doesn’t because he is

Let’s just say that….. he is made to understand. 

He left to support his friends, even if it’s in ways that make sense only to him.

He’s like a cat. Like he’s going to pretend he doesn’t really like you that much, but he does so so so much and wants to support you.

I’ve read/watched given for yeeeeears. I have 2 favs aka the best bassists in manga: soft boi Haruki and wanna be himbo Hiiragi. I don’t think there’s anyone who doesn’t like Haru, so you’re welcome to my lovely appreciation post for Hiiragi. 

If you don’t love my Haru, I don’t want you to look at my post anyway. Obviously, you have bad taste. 

Meet Hiiragi. Bassist and new vocalist of syh. Love of Shizu-chan’s life.

Shizu essentially fell for our boy when he gave him the gold sheet of origami paper when they were kids.

He’s been pulling Shizu along ever since.

Our favorite guitarist Uenoyama is very confused by Shizu sticking with Hiiragi.

Does Shizu like music? Yes. Is he serious about it? Yes. But what is he stalker obsessed and in love with? The sweet dumbass that is Hiiragi.

Hiiragi and Shizu have different ideas of what being in love is, but unlike most of these couples they COMMUNICATE with each other. Shizu is super straight forward and Hiiragi is a bowling ball one he decides something.
