I really hope that we get some time with Nirei processing the trauma of what happened and seeing parallels between that and his middle school experience. However, I doubt it since most forms of media don’t flesh that stuff out regardless with how central a character is to the story. Fingers crossed I’m wrong about that. I feel like a lot of the time we start comparing trauma and saying well this person deserves our full attention because they are the most traumatized and forgetting that their other people who have pasts as well.

Like if there’s a car accident and someone’s fingers got cut off yes you’re gonna deal with that and it’s probably gonna be priority number one but you’re still taking the person with two broken legs to the hospital, even if the immediate situation isn’t that dire.
