girlies we have bad news: valko is getting removed and we won't get any new LIs in future patches 🥀 (more of my thoughts utc!)
i get that the fanbase is divided on valko's announcement. on one hand, you have players who are mass-hating and throwing infold under the bus (ngl if you solely hate valko, then just uninstall the game? there's no need to twist infold's pants over a LI). on the other hand, you have players who are excited and anticipating his release. then because of the hate infold's getting, they decide to remove valko??? i'm all for listening to the players' feedback, but people-pleasing the haters ain't gonna get you anywhere, and you've also upset the ones who actually want valko. also, why bother making LADS available to the global market when you're only going to listen to the chinese fanbase... (also y'all gotta be unemployed af to be cancelling a fictional character... babe he's literally pixels on a screen, and if you dl him, just ignore him or stop playing the game! respectfully, get a life <3)
removing all possible future LIs in subsequent updates is an untasteful move imo, because i'm sure there are players who genuinely wanna see other viable romanceable options in LADS moving forward, and it also attracts non-players. i remember the influx of new players when sylus was announced. infold is losing out on a future LI (it could be valko, or any possible future LI that's not been revealed or maybe even created yet) that could cause this surge of new players. also, i'm pretty sure i remember seeing some fans thirst over EVER's ceo and friendly reminder: infold didn't even show the guy's full face in cutscenes.
what infold should do, imo, is still release valko (instead of just removing all traces of him and locking him in the basement). infold should also develop the main story first before giving us any more future LIs (i'm not saying they shouldn't add any more LIs in future, but they need to flesh out sylus' and caleb's stories first before giving us a shiny new LI, one step at a time!).
also unrelated but infold should do something about the size of the files every update. whenever there's a new patch, i'm always fistfighting god while clearing storage. it's not just some small mb amount every update is asking for; every update demands a few gb worth of space. i remember being appalled during the most recent spicy banner update (the hot springs event) because i had to clear 7gb worth of storage. and for a music student like me that uses storage to record myself in the practice room, having to clear storage is equivalent to me doing sh because i'm deleting recordings of myself that i need to listen back to, reflect, and figure out what to do the next time i'm practicing. i digress. tldr: infold needs to minimise update storage.
edit: just spoke with my sister (illustration major) regarding the storage issue. LADS basically runs on the same graphics specs as resident evil, the latter being a pc game. i love the idea of having realistic models, but using high definition graphics at the cost of storage makes me wanna throw up (not in a good way). most of us play LADS on our phones and not tablets (idk about y'all, but my friends and i use our tablets/ipads for school and work purposes, not for games, so our games are usually on our phones), and i just saw someone say that even with a designated ipad for LADS (they don't even have other games or pictures on it), they still have trouble with storage whenever there's a new update. again, if infold does want to keep up the high quality boyfriend idea they want for LADS, they need to find a way to balance quality graphics with minimal storage.
hoyo-mix has been pretty great with the music of the past genshin regions (ie using traditional instruments, drawing inspo from certain pieces (for dance of sabzeruz, yu-peng chen drew inspo from rimsky-korsakov's scheherazade (the music itself was inspired by 1001 nights))), so here's what i want for snezhnaya's music (utc):
orthodox music — russia was isolated from the rest of the world and basically spammed orthodox music before the classical era (1730 – 1820) and iw representation. iw orthodox music references in the church/synagogue areas.
russian folk music — russian folk music was sidelined and frowned upon (bc the only politically correct music to listen to was church music, hence listening to and performing any other music was considered blasphemous) and ended up being heard in remote villages. some guy (i forgor his name) ended up recording the folk songs, which is why these remaining folk songs survived. n e ways iw to hear them in remote areas that are outside of the city.
the russian five — the russian five (comprising of balakirev, borodin, cui, mussorgsky, and rimsky-korsakov) were instrumental in shaping russia's nationalistic identity in music (bc prior to them, russia listened to european music and had no sense of a russian sound in music, so these 5 men decided to band together and engineer what can be considered truly russian music). iw musical quotes from them. i better be hearing them in snezhnaya's OSTs.
tchaikovsky references — idc how they do it but iw representation of my fav gay russian king (ik they already did it with odette but pls... something like incorporating the romeo & juliet fantasy overture into the tsaritsa's theme... do you see the vision)
glinka references — glinka was the guy who tried to do what the russian five did before they even did it, and it was because of him that the quintet was formed (if i'm not wrong, i think glinka's sister gathered them because they had the same mindset as glinka and they all gathered at his place). iw to see glinka references to acknowledge his efforts to russia's music.
the snezhnayan characters having fontaine-looking designs makes sm sense to me because there was a period of time whereby russia idolised france thanks to catherine the great. nobody asked but here's a mini history lesson from me re: catherine's obsession with france (utc):
catherine's obsession with france stems from her love for the enlightenment period, and she thus viewed it as the standard of civilisation
catherine loved the palace of versailles' design sm that she basically had every palace designed to mimic versailles
catherine split the aristocrats from the general public by making french the (in my terms) "language of the nobles" (basically if you spoke french, you're deemed as an elite member of society)

A/N: here's some silly predictions i have for valko based on vibes! i'm only basing this off the trailer and not the main story bc i don't really play the main story (oops) (for context i think i last left off pre-sylus. i've not even met sylus officially in the main story. that's how far behind i am. sue me.).
based on vibes, i'm gonna do this on a whim and say his mbti is either ESTP or ESTJ. ion knaur. he gives that kind of energy.
what if he has gap moe and is a playful kind of guy. i'm imagining a halfway mark between sylus and caleb. do you see the vision.
adding on to the gap moe, it would be hilarious if this man uses lowercase and uses cute emojis. walk with me here. an example of a text would be something like: "gm mc!! i got a café au lait n thought of u 🥹 cya later at the park mkay 😙" verbatim. probably uses abbreviations (like 'u' instead of 'you' and 'n' instead of 'and) and types entirely in lowercase (because, despite being a rich ceo, he believes in the 'eat the rich, the bourgeoisie can kiss my ass xoxo, hence no capitalism in my house' mentality).
definitely runs, similar to zayne. who is faster though? that i cannot answer. we might need to see the two men do a race (and have mc bike behind them) to see.

as much as i'm not a die-hard omegaverse girlie, i think he goes through heat cycles similar to rafayel's ebb day situation. can we please get a heat cycle card for him. i want him down bad, sick and all, like rafayel. just a thought.
his official birth date isn't out yet, and ik a lot of people are theorising him to be a november/december baby, but what if he turns out to be a july/august baby. what if he's a leo. i can't imagine him as a sagittarius/capricorn, but i can see him as a leo/virgo. pls say you see my vision. yanno how in omegaverse fics, the animal-esque character scents their partner? i think valko wouldn't outright scent you by rolling himself in your clothes (i'm exaggerating), but instead spray the specific cologne he uses onto your clothes. so less natural body scent and more of whatever expensive fragrance he uses.
speaking of fragrances, i think he uses musky, woody scents! specifically sandalwood and vanilla.
we all know each LI has specific outfits and colours they are partial to (ie zayne likes wearing full black with sunglasses, and sylus likes red). i think he's into black (like zayne) but wears athleisure. muscle tees, workout tank tops, compression shirts. unironically, he wears sweats. bro prolly sleeps at the gym. he doesn't know he's a walking thirst trap and his immediate reaction to people eyefucking him disrespectfully is, "what the hell, sure."

funny lil hc but i think his wolf ears are for tracking sounds from further distances and his human ears function as normal human ears. i have a mental image of him plugging his human ears when he wants to track someone from a further distance just so he can track the person better. ik it doesn't make sense but it's just funny to me HAHAHAHA
he sleeps with his tail tucked between his legs. if he gets into that one sweet napping position (tail between legs and he's hugging it like a huge stuffed plushie), he can sleep like an absolute baby.
