The Latest Single From Mitch Melodia Blends Contemporary Jam Band Style with the Old
Mitch Melodia, artistically known as the “band” Alpha Pegasi, built his confidence through music. His style is jam meets upbeat danceable melodies. His songwriting and overall sound is reminiscent of The Grateful Dead meets Phish with a sprinkling of pop like that of Tame Impala.
“Making Music, Making Love, Making Money is probably going be the title of my future autobiography," Mitch says. "Personally, those are three of the most important things I feel like I can do to have a very happy, healthy, wealthy, and fulfilling lifestyle. The more money I earn, the more money I can give. And for the first two, well, they're pretty really great to be able to do."
His newest single, “Give Some, Get Some,” is one of the oldest songs in Mitch’s repertoire as he’s been writing it for years. “A blast from my past written circa 2013, ‘Give Some, Get Some’ has been revamped and reworked to have a more groove-oriented approach with a couple of searing solos added to the mix," shares Mitch. It carries a heavy rock sound and style similar to that of The Red Hot Chili Peppers with some bluesy undertones.
“Give Some, Get Some” has a catchy melody that encourages the listener to get out of their chairs. It’s very much a contemporary Jam Band style song with deliberate guitar and a heavy beat. Lyrically, the song is exactly what you think it’s about: you have to give unto others so that others can give unto you.
