How would the different characters react to finding out your amortentia smells like them? đł (Cedric, Harry, Ron, etc.)
I love the idea of the reader innocently telling them what their amortentia smells like without realising it is them only to have the other person realise it is them so that is the sort of prompt for each character
Harry wouldnât say anything
He didnât really know how to tell you that he thought it was him and if it wasnât he didnât want to be wrong
He would ask if you had any idea who it was and you probably had an idea it was Harry but also didnât want to say anything
But he would be a lot quieter for the rest of the day because all he could think about was that
Sixth year Draco wouldnât say anything because now was not the time for him to have a relationship
And he would probably just nod and would change the subject
But, if Draco lived a normal life he would have the largest smirk on his face and heâd assume that you knew who it was and he was all cocky
But then when he realised you actually had no idea who it was he suddenly became more shy and was a bit taken aback
But he would definitely tell you it was him and regain back his confidence quite quickly as he began teasing you over it
Cedric would be super happy about it and would literally be so excited
But he wouldnât tell you anything until the lesson was over so he could do it in privateÂ
And he would tell you what he smelled and would definitely ask you out
And he would joke and say how easier it was to ask you out now the he knows you feel the same way about him
And he is literally just so excited and is just beaming about this
He probably wouldnât really realise it was him at first because he wasnât really expecting it to be him
But then throughout the lesson he would be thinking about it and then he would realise and suddenly he had gone all quiet
And you would be asking him if he is okay and what happened and whats wrong and his ears are turning red but he isnât telling you anything
And youâre getting a bit annoyed with him because you think it is something you did but you donât know what it is and you start bickering with him and then eventually he blurts out and tells you and you are just so shock but youâre happy because now you can talk about it
Would get really giddy about it and would probably try to get you to realise it was him
Like he wouldnât outright say it was him
But he would be like wow do you know anyone who smells like that?
And when youâre saying no he is telling you to think and is indirectly brining up experiences where he has smelt like thatÂ
And then he would not be able to stop smirking when your face suddenly lights up and you realise who it is
He wouldnât know whether or not to tell you that it was him
Because he wouldnât want to embarrass you but like he also wants you to know that it is him because you are literally so clueless about it
And so he probably makes an effort to smell like that around you until you realiseÂ
And his plan would probably work and you would go confront him about it and when he told you why he didnât outright tell you you would be so happy and flattered
Neville would be so quiet and he would be stammering but he would tell you that it was him probably because he didnât really think it through and then he would immediately regret it because he then questions whether it was him or not
But then when you suddenly get really happy and realise that it is him he starts to relax and calm downÂ
And then he too would get excited and he would ask you out and he would be feeling so confident and would start to relax around you now because he knew you felt the same wayÂ
I feel like with Oliver it would be easy to know his smell because like Quidditch, but maybe there was a few that threw you off
And he knows that he smells like that but he doesnât know whether to say it
And you sort of joke that you can smell broom shine or something so it must be him
And then when he doesnât reply you sort of start to question it and then you ask him if it is him and he gives a little nod and he is watching you out of his peripheral vision and he beams when he realises youâre smiling
She would probably say, âhey that smells like me!â without really realising what she just did
And then she would get really blushy and quiet as soon as she realises what she just didÂ
And you would just think it was the cutest thing ever and then you would ask her what hers smelt like and when you both realised it was you you would ask her out
And you would never let her live that down
Hermione would not believe you when you told her what yours smelt like
Like she would think you were joking and you would get so confused about why she was getting so heated over what it smelt like
And then she would realise you werenât joking and you would be like what was all that about?
And she would explain but she wouldnât be making eye contact with you and you would sort of relax once you realised what it meant and youâd get really confident and ask her out and she would finally look at you and say yes
Luna would be really intrigued as to what yours smelt like and when you told her she would get all happy and tell you straight away that it smelt like herÂ
And youâd get a bit shy at her confidence because she is probably telling you that she thought you might have had a thing for her because of the way you acted around her
But then she would ask you out and you would get a bit more relaxed and get more excited and comfortable around her
