Gix, who (for those who aren't aware from past information from Gix's story trajectory in the one shot serials he is played in) is a millionaire celebrity model by way of being a zealot barbarian mascot for a coffee chain run by a cult. Money has not changed him; he was this horrible when he didn't know that money can buy goods and services.
