For the most memorable fic scene, the first one I thought of was Rufus staring at his cornered king from 'Haunted'. There's also the empty fish tank and Sephiroth's reflection in 'No Graves', and the scene with Liara in 'Infinite.'

The hints re: the relationship between Tocasia and Urza/Mishra's father are pretty lean (by design, no doubt), but I feel pretty sure they were either married or engaged at some point before he married the brother's mother, and he called it off because he knew she wasn't happy in Penregon.

Huh, Tocasia died in 20 AR? I’d somehow thought the brothers were in their early-to-mid teens at the time, not young adults
