“Good. I would like you here, if you wish. Soon it will be spring and it’s pretty damn amazing here if I do say so myself.”
It had been so tumultuous in the last couple of months and for once, there could be peace.

Who is he to deny such warm greetings? Gathering her up into a big bear hug he gives a light squeeze. “How’s it going kiddo?”

Lord knows why she’d made the trek south. The weather was still most definitely disagreeable, and she feels like she could spend the rest of her life hiding in her hotel room, disagreeing with every notion that brought her down to Spain for a little bit of time to herself. Nevertheless, she’s taken up refuge in a cafe, trying to focus on a book and occasionally looking up to scan the crowd.
A familiar profile catches her eye, and Anneliese marks her page, carefully clearing her throat so she can call out to the other.
“Emma? Is that you?”
