Summary: Words can backfire. They can cause confusion, especially in different cultures. A fight between rival and trainer leaves them at ends with each other.
Author’s Note: Day 6 is finally here. My favorite one followed by Day 5.

She knew she shouldn’t have taken him seriously. His words were often harsh, but empty. She just wanted him and his Pokemon to relax since they’ve been training so hard lately.
Did he really think she took the time off from being a Champion to come to the Alola region to train?
No!
It would’ve been their one year anniversary and she wanted to relax with him. Her now ex-boyfriend’s big mouth just had to ruin everything. She knows she’s overreacting, but she’s so tired of him not taking her seriously and not knowing that his words can hurt. The temptation of staying in Alola and making him fly back home by himself was very strong right now.
~~Pokemon~~
“So, basically,” Moon said. “You broke up with Silver in the heat of an argument over Pokemon training and he said ‘You aren’t my girlfriend. I’m not here to relax and spend time with you.’
“Not exactly those words. He acknowledges that I am his girlfriend after I took him out on a few dates and then he saw me with Hibiki and got all jealous, but that was the gist of it,” Kotone said as she stirred her tea.
“You can be my roommate,” Moon said. “This way you don’t have to share your hotel room with him and I can always use some much-needed girl time that isn’t with Lillie. Now everything is fine with Lillie, but she’s just so clean and proper.”
Kotone rolled her eyes. “Basically, hang out with you like we did when we were younger?”
Moon sat down her mug of hot cocoa and gave Kotone a very serious look. “Do you have any idea on how hard it is to get Lillie to tell me what guy she finds attractive on those reality dating shows? It’s like pulling Pyukumuku from their spot on the beach.”
“Pku-who?”
“I’ll show you later,” Moon sand picked her mug back up. “Do you remember when we would go around telling everyone we are girlfriends before our parents told us what that term really meant?”
“Yes. Where are you going with this?”
“Well, unlike Kanto and Johto, girlfriends also mean best female friends in Alola,” Moon said. “We can easily make your ex-jealous.”
“What about you?”
Moon let out a dramatic sigh. “My love is unrequited.”

Their planned work and affected Silver. Gladion just shrugged the news off until it started to affect his work because Moon wasn’t there to annoy him. He never realized how much her presence lightened up his day and made his meetings less boring.
However, he did not expect to be tossed into this situation. A bet made by Moon to torture the red-hair punk that has been trying to get Moon to battle him for his girlfriend who has been ignoring his apologies. Gladion didn’t understand the big deal about the punk so why was he dragged into this by Moon’s girlfriend and his own sister?
Why did his own sister throw him in this predicament? Gladion could only guess because of his sour mood lately which was caused by Moon’s absence.
Gladion pinched the bridge of his nose. “So, double battles. The losing team does one thing that the winning team says. I’ll do whatever Moon wants and Silver with Kotone,” he said making sure he had the rules right.
Silver glared at him. “What makes you think we’ll lose?” he said.
“If you can take on Moon and win, good for us. However, my Pokemon practically love her and I have never won against her. She’s the undefeated champion of Alola.”
“The first and only champion of Alola,” Lillie said just to help build Moon’s ego.
“Don’t forget, Silver,” Kotone said. “I took down Team Rocket and the Champion of Johto.”
“She’s also your ex-girlfriend,” Moon said with a wink. “No fury like a woman and her Pokemon scorned.”
Gladion looked at Silver. “What in the world did you do?”
~~Pokemon~~
“Let’s see,” Moon said as the battle came to an end with the Champions as victors. “Gladion, why don’t you take me out to dinner?”
“What? Really? Like a business dinner?” Gladion said.
Lillie facepalmed herself as Kotone patted Moon’s shoulders.
“Don’t worry, Moon,” Kotone said. “When you die of being rivalzoned, I’ll place some faded cornflowers on your grave.”
“Faded cornflowers?” Gladion said in confusion.
“What are those?” Lillie asked.
“Idiots,” Silver said. He looked at Kotone. “Let me guess, to relax?”
“B-I-N-G-O,” Kotone said. “I also want an apology and a proper date before I go back to being your girlfriend.”
Silver looked at Moon. “And you are okay with me taking Kotone away from you?”
“Yeah. Why wouldn’t I be?” Moon said with a shrug.
“Nope! She’s my best friend! Hibiki is just my best friend who I tolerate,” Kotone said.
“You thought they were dating?” Gladion said. “In Alola, girlfriends could be a relationship status or best female friends.”
“Kotone,” Silver said with a growl. “You are so dead.”
Moon patted Kotone’s shoulders. “Don’t worry,” she said. “I’ll put the general type of chrysanthemums on your grave.”

“I’m sorry,” Moon said. “What did you just say?”
“We should elope,” Gladion said repeating what he just said bluntly a few moments ago.
“I’m not opposed to the idea,” Moon said and turned around to face her boyfriend who was sitting on her table facing her. “What brought this up?”
“I’m just tired of my family trying to set us up with other people. I also want to stop sneaking into Aether. Like, you have a private home from being a Champion and I want to stay here without anyone questioning our relationship.”
“You know this will only raise more questions.”
“Yes, but then I can say ‘This is my wife, you dolt. No more questions over that subject’.”
Moon laughed. “What about your family?”
Gladion smirked and pulled Moon closer to him. “They’ll survive with some moping. My girlfriend says that I am a serious moper.”
“It must run in your genes,” Moon said with a smile. “I’ll accept on one condition.”
“What condition is that?”
“The day before we elope, you send me a spider flower so I’ll know to be ready the next day.”

~~Story Begins~~
Gladion had found Archer to be a reasonable businessman and researcher. The Johto man was especially interested in the research of the Alolan Grimer. Some of his remarks, however, caused little caution flags to go off in Gladion’s head but brushed it off as an eccentric researcher.
Everything was going great, expect Moon hasn’t been around him or Aether.
Gladion always teased Moon for taking him away from paperwork and Aether, but he’s actually ahead of everything. Except for the business deal with Archer.
“Lillie,” Gladion said to his little sister. “Where’s Moon? I’m bored and I want to visit her.”
“I’m afraid I don’t know,” Lillie said. “She hasn’t come over for our weekly tea for a while.”
That was unusual. With how busy their two lives were, they never missed their weekly tea parties.
“When did she stop showing up?” Gladion said.
Lillie tapped her chin in thought, her blue eyes closed as she focused on her last memory with the Alolan Champion.
“Oh!” Lillie said. “It was when Archer got lost and intruded upon our tea. He kindly asked for direction after he remarked about how beautiful Moon had grown.”
“They know each other?”
“I don’t know. Moon got up and said she had some business and left,” Lillie said with a sigh. “And she was in the middle of telling me about how you thought you forgot her birthday and it wasn’t even her birthday.”
“I blame Hau for that incident,” Gladion said. “I’m going to go look for her.”
~~Pokemon~~
Moon was sitting on the beach by Rockruff Cave, her Incineroar in front of her, his tail flipping back and forth with impatience.
“I’m almost done,” Moon said with a giggle. “I just need to bend this like that and move it over a little and ta-da!” Moon held out a flower crown made from yarrows. “Finished.”
Incineroar bent his head and Moon placed the flower crown on his head. A loud purr emitting from the wrestler cat pokemon.
“I never thought I’ll see the day where the Champion makes a flower crown for her most feared pokemon throughout the league,” Gladion’s voice said.
“You ’re just jealous that you won’t get one made for you,” Moon said and crossed her arms as Gladion sit down next to her.
“Not even for Silivally?” Gladion said. “You do have a soft spot for him.”
“Maybe. How is your business deal going?”
“Standstill. He wants access to confidential research files that aren’t related to the business deal. I didn’t realize you two knew each other. You could have told me.”
“I didn’t know Archer was the person who you was meeting with,” Moon said. “If I did, I would have advised against it.”
“Why is that?”
“You remember Giovanni, right? The leader of Team Rocket and Team Rainbow?”
“Yes.”
“Archer is Giovanni’s, right-hand man. He was in Johto when Team Rocket was disbanded in Kanto. Archer regrouped Team Rocket in Johto to bring Giovanni out of hiding and to lead Team Rocket back to glory.”
“I see. So, how do you know this Archer personally?”
“He used to work with my mother before he joined Team Rocket.”
“Well, the deal is off,” Gladion said. His Pokereciver went off with a message. “I’m going to need you and Incineroar.”
“For?”
“To tell Archer the deal is off and to regain the files he just took.”
“Incineroar’s flower crown stays on.”
Incineroar let out a sound of agreement.
“Of course. Whatever the Champion wishes,” Gladion said with a smirk.

~~Story Begins~~
Moon had hoped that her move to Alola would dull the pain in her heart. She had a wonderful adventure with her new friends and even developed a crush on someone. She didn’t realize that the crush would still be there after three years.
It was the reason why she was leaning over the railing of Aether looking down at the endless blue ocean. She couldn’t help but imagine lotus flowers floating on the ocean’s gentle waves.
The pain was still evident in her heart and the loneliness never faded. Moon looked over her shoulder as she heard footsteps approach her.
“Are the festivals too boring for you?” Gladion said. He stood beside her and Moon couldn’t help but look away. The pale glow of her namesake in the sky made Gladion have an unearthly like glow with his blonde hair, vivid green eyes, and the black tuxedo that she’s sure Lillie forced him to wear.
“No,” Moon said. “Today isn’t the greatest day for me.”
“You as well?” Gladion said. “I understand the importance of today where Mom finally returned back to normal with her memories and personality, but the damage is already done. At least with me.”
Moon looked at him out of the corner of her eye. He leaned against the railing with her, his eyes staring down at the ocean.
“Today is also the day when father disappeared,” Gladion said in a small voice.
Thanks, Gladion, Moon thought as she leaned her chin on her arms. Now I feel even worse.
“Welcome to the lotus club,” Moon said before she could even stop the words from escaping.
“What?”
“It’s a prettier way of saying ‘welcome to the detachment club’,” Moon said as the cool wind blew her red dress against her skin. “You are detached from your mother and I’m detached from my older brother.”
“I didn’t know you have a brother,” Gladion said.
“We lost contact with each other when our parents divorced,” Moon said. “Last Mom and I heard was that he ran away and our father could care less.”
“You didn’t try to find him?” Gladion said.
“Mom tried, I think. She cried almost all day over how he’s changed due to father’s treatment of him.”
“I’m sure he’ll find a rival that will help him see the light,” Gladion said. “I know I did.”

~~Story Begins~~
Moon crossed off a day in black marker on her calendar. She had a bright smile on her face. She couldn’t wait until midnight tonight. Then she can tell her friends everything.
E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G
Her “Mom”, her actual family, the Kanto region, and the duties she had to perform for being the Princess and future Queen to Kanto.
Lillie and Hau found it weird that Moon liked Gladion being possessive of her after only three months of dating. Moon likes it because it means that he likes her for who she is and not for her title.
“Moon,” her “Mom,” said. “You might want to take a look at this.”
Moon went outside to the living room and her smile vanished. She knew those ships and that flag anywhere.
They found her.
~~Pokemon~~
Gladion and Lillie were not believing their ears. Moon wanted them to hide her? In Aether?
“What reason does a Champion need to hide?” Gladion said.
“It’s a long story,” Moon said. “I just need to hide until midnight. Please!”
“Uhm...we would love to but -” Lillie said as she fidgets and Gladion’s stare turned into a glare.
“Who are you and why do you look like Moon?” Gladion said.
Moon turned around and saw a male version of her only with a blue hat and a blue striped shirt.
“So, this is where you’ve been hiding,” the male said. “The weather suits you.”
“Sun, here on vacation?” Moon said.
“Business, Moon. I know you know why. Especially since you are the business,” Sun said.
“We can pretend that you didn’t see me here,” Moon said. “It will work out better that way. I will have my freedom and you can have control.”
“Can someone explain what this is about?” Lillie said.
“They don’t know? Sister, I’m disappointed in you,” Sun said with a smirk. “I am Prince Sun from the Kanto region and kingdom. This is my older sister and the missing Princess and first in line to the throne, Princess Moon.”
“Moon, you’re a princess?” Lillie said.
Moon stayed silent. She couldn’t bring herself to turn around and face them. She didn’t even acknowledge that her best friend had asked her a question. Her mind had quit all types of functions because they know about her secret now.
“Moon,” Gladion said. She looked at him which was a mistake. The walls she took so long tearing down were back up. “Is it true?”
Moon nodded as she wasn’t able to find her voice. It didn’t help that Moon forgot she even had a voice.
“Did anything of what we had to mean anything to you?” Gladion said.
“It meant the whole world to me, Gladion,” Moon said. “I didn’t want to tell you or anyone because I hate being a princess and I was afraid everyone would treat me like they did in Kanto.”
“Dear Kanto,” Sun said. “You’ve never been sappy before Moon. Let’s go. The Kanto region will cry tears of joy.”
He gripped her arm and glared at Gladion who had a Pokeball in his hand. “If you try to stop me from taking her, I can and will have you arrested for hiding a fugitive.”
“Don’t,” Moon said in a whisper. “I’ll go quietly. Can I please have five minutes with them alone?”
“I’m sorry, Moon,” Sun said. “The King and Queen forbid it.”
~~Pokemon~~
Everyone always imagined that Team Rocket would crash Moon and Sun’s coronation. So wrapped tightly around their Kanto beliefs that no one expected anything else to go wrong. So it was a surprise to see the coronation being crashed by someone with white spiky hair with a long pink and yellow pigtail girl following him.
“My word!” the King said. “Guards! Stop them!”
“Yo, you have some ‘splainin to do,” the white-haired man said. “Who da heck y’all idiots think you are, huh?”
“Guzma!” Moon said in surprise as she stood up from her seat. “Plumeria!”
“Point me in the direction of who will be meeting my fist to their face,” Plumeria said.
“Savages!” the king said and stood up himself.
“Nevermind,” Plumeria said with a crack of her knuckles. “I found him.”
“Y-you know, I’m sure there is a proper order of doing these things,” Lillie said.
“Oh man. The Kanto food is so good,” a voice said. “Not as good as malasadas, but still there.”
“Hau, can you please not think with your stomach for two minutes?” Gladion said with a yell. “We are trying to kidnap Moon back!”
“Whoa! You were serious?” Hau said.
“Why are you dating my sister again?” Gladion said.
Moon felt a nudge to her side turned to look at Sun. “Go,” he mouthed. “You have a different sun to orbit around instead of Kanto and me.”
“Prat,” Moon said.
“Oh, don’t forget to throw the thistle crown to me,” Sun said.
Sure, they could have rescued her in so many different ways, but she found this way to be perfect. It felt like she was back in Alola where she belongs.

Summary: Moon misses someone that she left behind in Kanto because of their responsibilities. Now, she’s homesick and can’t leave because of her obligations of being a Champion.

~~Story Begins~~
Moon was always a reckless child. She was told many times to never play on the volcanoes mountain, but she did. It wasn’t really her fault. Something in her soul kept luring her there, kept drawing her close to fire-type Pokemon.
Nothing really clicked until that fateful day where she finally met a Pokemon that connected with her in her heart. She would never forget that day and she held that memory close to her as she did the Island Challenge.
Moon turned her attention back to her friends. Hau was still talking about the new malasada restaurant and how delicious it was. She didn’t miss anything exciting or important, but some good old Kanto style omurice sounds good to her right now.
She wanted to go back to Kanto. She wanted to see her old friends, the family again. She wanted to see her special Pokemon again. She was homesick and she couldn’t receive her cure.
~~Pokemon~~
Lillie had convinced Hau and Gladion to go shopping with her and Moon. Lillie was still trying to figure out what clothes would look good on her without her mother’s opinion and Moon was desperate to find a kimono. She hated wearing them, but maybe it would help dull some of the pain in her heart.
They passed a flower shop while Moon usually walks by without looking, they were having a sale on Nenines. Nenines always grew around Mt. Moon. She hated that cave when she was younger because she always got lost and it was a dangerous place for her Pokemon. Rock and Ground-type moves were super effective against fire.
“Moon,” Lillie’s voice shook Moon out of her thoughts. “Is something the matter?”
“No,” Moon said and looked away from the flowers. “Just thinking about home.”
Hau laughed. “We are your home. Alola has so much more to offer than Kanto.”
“Kanto has its own little charms,” Moon said.
“Pathetic,” Gladion said with a huff. “The Champion is getting homesick by flowers of all things.”
Moon wasn’t going to get riled up by Gladion. She knew he wanted an excuse to get out of clothes shopping. She wasn’t going to give him that satisfaction.
~~Pokemon~~
Moon was walking around Aether with Gladion. He somehow figured out that she could communicate with Fire-type Pokemon and there was an injured Volcarona who kept attacking everyone who was trying to heal it.
Gladion wanted to know why plus it gave him more time to spend with Moon alone (a fact that Moon wasn’t aware of.)
“Mr. Gladion, sir!” one of the new Aether grunt shouted as he ran to the highly powerful couple. “W-w-we have a situation!”
Gladion glared at the member and wondered for the tenth time that day if Aether would run better if it was just him running it.
“What happened in the lab this time?” Gladion said as Moon attempted to talk to the Volcarona.
“Th-th-th-there is a big yellow bird sitting on the e-e-e-dge of Aether. It-it won’t move,” the grunt said. “I-I-I haven’t seen anything like it before.”
“Are you sure it wasn’t just some Charizard?” Gladion said with a sneer and crossed his arms.
“P-p-pretty sure,” Grunt said. “Charizards d-d-d-on’t have beaks to p-p-peck the glass.”
“Ow,” Moon said. “Okay. I understand. We are just trying to help. It hurts to keep in the air with how that wing is.”
“What happened,” Gladion said and turned his attention to her. She was holding her arm where three claws marks were at. “It attacked you too!?”
“MOOOOLLLL~” a cry rang out.
“What in Arceus name was that?” Gladion said.
“Tha-tha-that would be the yellow bird pokemon, sir,” the grunt said in a shaky voice.
“Wait! Yellow bird pokemon?” Moon said. “It wouldn’t happen to have flames on its wings would it?”
“Ex-exactly. How did -”
“Moon! Wait!” Gladion yelled as Moon ran out of the room. He followed her out of the room which left the Grunt alone.
The poor Grunt said a quick prayer for their safety before he ran to the shelter of the safe room.
~~Pokemon~~
Moon wanted to cry and laugh at the same time. She found the Pokemon that was terrifying everyone in Aether. The Pokemon must have sensed her connection getting closer as it had its face pressed up against the window.
“Moltres!” Moon said. “What are you doing here?” She ran up to the windows and placed her hands against the glass.
“Moon,” Gladion said. He had just caught up to her when Moltres started to peck at the window. “What is that?”
“Is there a way to get outside from here?” Moon said.
“Yes. There is an emergency exit right out that door,” Gladion said. “What- Moon! Wait! It could be an Ultra Beast!”
“Moltres is far from being an Ultra Beast,” Moon said. “Moltres is home.”
Gladion watched from the safety of pixie glass as Moon wrapped her arms around Moltres neck. The flames grazing over her hands and down her arm where her injury was at. The injury slowly disappearing from her arm as the bird nudged her cheek with its own.
Gladion would have to do some research for this Moltres which would require first-hand observations.
Maybe Moon wouldn’t mind giving him a tour of the Kanto region.
Summary: Gladion has no idea how much effort it takes Moon to visit him. She has other reasons for visiting him, but all of her courage flies out the window every time.

~~Story Begins~~
If someone told Moon that her weakness was a beautiful green color, she would have brushed it off. This was a girl who took on Team Skull, Aether, Team Rainbow and faced off against all of the Ultra Beasts without batting an eyelash.
She never felt exhausted from all of that, so why does she want to run away every time she visits Aether? Why does she want to see a pair of beautiful green eyes and at the same time avoid those beautiful green eyes? Why do her knees rattle whenever the owner of those eyes greet her and why does she want to say no to every challenge they offer her?
Why was asking Gladion out to coffee so terribly hard? Why was this more challenging than becoming a Champion?
“This is harder than what those romantic movies make it seem like,” Moon grumbled to her rainbow Grimer. “This shouldn’t be so hard!”
“Gri?”
“I have never had this problem in Kanto. There was always this little field of Blazing Stars that I would visit with another female friend when I failed something. It always made me feel better,” Moon said. She let out a sigh as the credits on the movie played across the television.
“Mer?”
“I’ll try again next week,” Moon said with fake energy.
~~Pokemon~~
Lillie wanted to scream. She wanted to scream until Arceus needed earplugs. She wanted to scream every single stupid comment about what just happened at the top of her lungs.
That would be unladylike.
“I see,” Moon said as she took a step back. “I do know that you have coffee in your office, but the reason why I asked you out was to get you away from the paperwork for a little bit.”
The Gengar on her shoulder was screaming for Lillie’s sake at the bald-faced lie her best friend just said. The Wigglytuff on the other shoulder was facepalming itself at her brother’s stupidity.
“Don’t you do that when we battle?” Gladion said.
“I guess. Sorry for taking up your time, but I need to go,” Moon said.
“What? No weekly battle?” Gladion said in surprise.
“No,” Moon said with a fakely sweet smile. “You have Pokemon and trainers here to battle.”
Lillie didn’t wait two seconds once Moon left the area. “You stupid idiot!” Lillie said almost on the verge of yelling. “She was asking you out on a date.”
“No, she wasn’t,” Gladion said. “Who asks somebody out to coffee as a date?”
“You never have afternoons or evenings off to where she could ask you to dinner! Lillie said. “So coffee and breakfast in the morning is the best time to ask you when you aren’t busy!”
“Fine. Just to prove that you are wrong when she comes back next week for our battle, I’ll accept her invitation.”
Lillie got in his face and jabbed his chest hard with her finger. “For her sake, I hope she doesn’t and that she’ll find someone new to love.”
~~Pokemon~~
It was a Pokemon League Conference of sorts. Gladion planned on crashing it because Moon hasn’t been in contact with him for two weeks. Also, everyone except him was invited to go which made no sense.
It didn’t matter to him anyway. He needed to see Moon and accept her stupid coffee date because his Pokemon no longer listened to him or his commands. They refused to until he made it right with Moon and Lillie.
If he would’ve known how much trouble refusing to go out for coffee, he would’ve accepted then.
Gladion narrowed his eyes as he spotted Moon. She was wearing a dark blue kimono-style dress and while it surprised him to see her in something that wasn’t Alolan culture (he might have forgotten that she isn’t from the Alola region), but more like he was trying to glare at the man who was making her laugh.
Pale skin was brought to the artificial light by shoulder length black hair and grey eyes. A dark blue tracksuit didn’t seem like a proper official meeting but holding onto one of Moon’s hands and kissing it certainly was.
NOT.
~~Pokemon~~
“You know how I feel about you doing that,” Moon said as the Kalos Pokemon Champion and her best friend from childhood kissed her hand.
“You say one thing,” Calem said with a smile, “but deep down I know you appreciate my actions.”
Moon rolled her eyes and shook her head. “I see the Kalos region suits you,” she said.
“Most fashionably, don’t you think?” Calem said with a laugh. “We really need to have coffee some time to catch up. I need to go pester Kotone. Ciao.”
Calem kissed her cheek before he left her. His spot was instantly occupied by a spikey orange hair man with a purple shirt. He held out a glass of sparkling juice to her.
“Don’t look now, but there is someone who is glaring at you with a fury of forests,” he said.
Moon accepted the glass and shrugged. “Male or female?”
“Male.”
“I thought he didn’t get an invite. Oh well, what are you up to Blue?”
“Red and I are currently trying to convince Leaf that she doesn’t need to stay in Kanto,” Blue said. “Are you trying to make that man jealous?”
Moon raised an eyebrow. “Maybe. You willing to help me if I help you?”
“I can’t help you because you are a friend?” Blue said in fake shock.
“Rarely.”
“You got me. I was hoping you’ll talk to Leaf for us. You two always got along.”
“I can do that. I’ve been meaning to talk to her for a while. I also need to visit her some time to get love advice.”
“Thanks, doll,” Blue said. He kissed her cheek and winked at her. “Holler if you need saving.”
“Hm?” Moon hummed as Blue left her. She blinked and green eyes glared at her. “Hello Gladion,” she said in a flat tone.
“What was that?” Gladion said. “Who are they?”
“They?”
“The two men that were talking to you.”
“Acquaintances of sorts. Is there something that I can help you with?”
“Acquaintances, huh? Didn’t seem like it from the way they kissed your cheek. Do I need to remind you that I am your boyfriend?”
“Oh? So, now you are acknowledging that fact?” Moon said. “You refused to acknowledge it on your dates so I was starting to wonder.”
~~Pokemon~~
“I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen such a stubborn couple in my life,” Professor Oak said. “It all started over Gladion bringing paperwork to their dates.”
“Well, it will never be boring with them around then,” Professor Birch said with a laugh.
He moves left. She moves right. And his camera captures all in between.
This in essence, was their relationship. A photographer and his subject.
But when the house lights turn back on she’s quick to shed the mask; the fluorescents revealing not a model, but just Moon. And she was all too happy to do just that.
She skips over to him once he says they’re done and when she stops he notes how inquisitive and dark her eyes really are without the catchlight. How her freckles appear in multitudes without a diffuser. And how her glossed lips excitedly move in rapid succession.
None of this would never allow for a proper photo.
