Life on Lake McDonald
Lake McDonald is probably one of the prettiest lakes I have ever seen. Like a lot of the lakes in the region, Lake McDonald was a product of the last ice age. The glaciers carved out a gully which was later filled by glacial meltwater. These days it is a huge tourist attraction but at the same time is a protected area. The waters of Lake McDonald are one of the clearest and cleanest in the United States. A lot of it has to do with relatively low number of life in the lake itself. This is also due to the purity of the water itself. It is very relaxing to sit on the shores of Lake McDonald. There were a few benches here but I assume it easily gets filled up in the summer.
