-after bumping into James in the corridor, Glenda makes her way back to the basement, still cheerful. as she enters the common room, a younger student approaches her and tells her she has a letter on her bed. half expecting it to be from her mother, Glenda chuckles and heads up to read it. by the handwriting, she notes that it's not her mother. she sits on her bed and starts to read, confusion washing over her as she reads the words 'arranged' and 'marriage' and realises it's Cadmus's handwriting.-

Merlin... -lets out a choked breath, not quite knowing what to say. after a moment of not knowing what to do, she promptly bursts into tears, her teardrops splashing onto the inked writing below her and smudging parts of the letter-
