The problem with their comic book design was they were basically exaggerated features of “yellow peril” caricatures.The...

Oooooh shit! That didn’t even cross my mind! But looking at the designs now with that in mind, I can see what you mean. So, if DC could update their designs in the comics, that would help a lot. 

I hope to see Thanagarians, Rann people, and even (maybe possibly hopefully) something about a Green Lantern Corps (at least a mention).

glamourweaver answered: Maybe if they ended up at odds over what was right in a political situation? Like if Asami ends up invested with someone who wants an extended republic in the former Earth kingdom, and Korra’s deeply entrenched in localized rule.

This is a very intriguing idea! Especially since I have always sort of wondered if their politics/ideas would always align given that Asami is in business and Korra’s role in the world is more positioned around the spiritual and world-peace side of things. Granted, from what we saw in canon, Asami seems to build her business around what’s best for the people/spirits/Korra... but it’d still be interesting to see how they would deal with a conflict like this.
