The thing about living in a city with three "unis"
1) University of Glasgow
2) Strathclyde University
3) Glasgow Caledonian University
is that people don't really go to other ones (apart from St. Andrews, Oxbridge, Durham and maybe Edinburgh) and I have to live with the fact that most of my classmates will probably be at uni with me. That is what hell is
Looks like after today it’s taps back on for another year.
O’ Glasgow, why must thou tempt us so?
Whenever I feel sad, I just remind myself that, thanks to Glasgow’s industrious pigeon population, Robert Peel’s statue in George Square is constantly caked in shit.
I’ll miss you, Valhalla’s Goat.
And so completes my first week back in Glasgae.
How has my first week back in Glasgow gone so unbelievably fast?! I've started two new jobs, viewed flats, accepted a flat, watched many rom coms with Tzveta, drank rum, met up with pals and watched football (pretty much a combination of my favourite things).
It's amazing how much being around people you like and being surrounded by your favourite things affects your mood. At home, i was so worried i'd made the wrong life choice for this year or that I was going to be nostalgic for how Glasgow HAD been the last four years. But now i feel content and immeasurably happy to be back here. Things will be different, but different isn't always bad.
