✅To celebrate 125 years of Glenfiddich whisky, the Distillery has released the Glenfiddich 125th Anniversary Edition in 2012. They have used a combination of peated and unpeated whiskies aged in a large proportion of Spanish ex-Sherry butts, as well as American ex-bourbon casks. The result is something completely unique – a peated Glenfiddich!😃 It was presented alongside a copper stopper, a leaflet giving some background on the release and a handsome presentation case. Bottled in 2012 at 43% ABV. ✨Tasting 📝: 🥃 Aroma: A rich aroma with an abundance of stewed fruits, butter, honey, zesty marmalade, light earth and spice all enveloped in peat smoke. 🥃 Taste / Palate: Rich vanilla oak notes, honey, caramel, milk chocolate, Smoked fruit sweet grass, with a complex smoky peaty character. 🥃 Finish: Medium to long with butter, salt, honey, grass and nuts at the back followed by caramel and stewed fruits and slightly dry smokiness. ✨Conclusion: A delicious whisky with a wonderful balance between the fruits and peat.
