Considering that Glow loves to put things in his mouth do you think he’d pick up Micha’s habit of eating bugs?

What other habits might the Glimbow kids inherit from their family members?

GOD, he probably would but I don't want to think about that 😅. When he gets older he WILL chew every writing implement you give him down to a nub, though, and chew off all his nails when he's nervous, much like Bow.

I see Arrow inheriting her mother's temper for sure. Probably also her mother's potty mouth.

They both make cheesy puns because that's just George and Lance's genetics combined with Micah's powerful cheesy dad energy.

Both kids are artistic and love to work with their hands, while Glow is more likely to figure out a problem theoretically and let someone else build it and Arrow is more "oo, how does this work?" (rips it apart to see and then gets bored and doesn't put it back together again).

Arrow takes her studies in sorcery VERY seriously and surpasses Glimmer almost immediately which is honestly kind of a relief to Glimmer (after the initial shock) because then Casta and Micha focus on Arrow's lessons instead of Glimmer and she's free to do her own thing. (I have a whole other thing to say about how I see Glimmer's relationship to sorcery but that's a post for another time.)

To George and Lance's dismay, neither of the Glimbow kids are particularly into history, but that's alright because it turns out Finn loves it and Glance considers them a grandchild as well.

So, the prompt of countdown for Glimbow week was Parenting, this is my first entry 👀

And here’s Bow with my first glimbow kid, Selene! He’s an overprotective dad, don’t blame him, he just wants his little baby to be okay.🥺

He has hardly slept, since Selene was born he takes care of her every night so Glimmer can rest a little.

I made Glimbow kids! 💖 for Glimbow week

aka the Sparkle Sibs or the Disaster Duo. The sweater is courtesy of their grandaunt Castaspella but the print is all their granddads George & Lance’s idea. 

They can speak telepathically with each other but share no brain cells between them whatsoever! They are each other’s instigator and motivator because that’s what happens when you have a built-in partner-in-crime from the womb. You get confident in doing shit even if it’s positively stupid.

Good news though, growing up in a healthy family with a good support system, these kids are confident and love themselves (i love that for them!) They’re also good with people and emotions because they’re Bow’s children, hello.

Get to know them below!

Princess Gel 🏹

Her name is Angel 💖 after Angella. 

But everyone calls her Gel after her granddads GEorge + Lance (it was glimmer’s idea).

The older twin by 15 minutes

She’s bad at magic

But she makes up for it by being super athletic!

Slow learner but tries and tries until she succeeds! (an icon)

Stubborn to a fault (who else do we know that’s like this?)

Wants to do so many things at once, she sometimes glitches

Competitive af. She also has her mother’s temper 

Muscles for days

Loves dresses and skirts but they aren’t ideal when she’s moving around everyday. That’s why she loves attending parties because she can glam up! 

Super social but actually introverted. 

Learned to teleport before she learned to walk. Teleported everywhere as a baby and was a living nightmare for Glimmer and Bow

Then she discovered that she enjoyed running, jumping, sweating and basically every other physical activity. Still a living nightmare though because now, she has broken bones and bleeding wounds!

At 18, she still doesn’t know how to teleport further than 2 feet away and knows only two spells: for retrieving arrows and for breaking things

Basically learns to tinker with stuff like her father because she breaks too many things

Loves surprising/scaring people, totally uses her limited teleportation powers just for this reason

Affectionate af, catch her clinging to her friends/brother/parents/family members 24/7

Likes to read action/mystery/fantasy novels in her granddads library. She doesn’t like romance and her twin brother is all the comedy she needs

Loves her parents to death and idolizes them like hell. She has the best parents in Etheria and will shoot you straight-up if you say otherwise

Tiny but taller than Glimmer. Looks cute but can kill you

Has great gut instinct; makes decisions based on her gut - her mind is totally neglected some days, it pities itself.

Prince Glow 🔮

His name is Angelo 💖 after Angella

But everyone calls him Glow after his parents (this one’s bow’s idea, the dork. glimmer pretends it’s lame but she loves it)

The younger twin by 15 minutes

Sorcerer prodigy (Micah is a proud grampa!)

Besides that, he has nothing else going for him.

Just kidding. 

But really, he thinks one skill is enough and makes no effort to learn anything else (& you know what, sometimes that’s not a bad thing! you do you)

He is loyal to a fault (something his father scolds him on)

Loves reading history and political books (and romance ones too)

Lanky boi. He’s clumsy, has bad eye vision and a weak stamina. He is so sickly, immune-system? Wack. That angel gene missed him entirely

Also loves to randomly shower people with compliments

Loves to make people laugh, most especially his parents. He compiles his jokes in a journal

Affectionate af too, catch him clinging to his friends/sister/parents/family members 24/7

Could achieve great things if he wasn’t so lazy

Gets bored easily and likes to tag along his twin sister to be entertained

Stirs shit up with his crazy ideas that Gel always thinks “sounds fun!”

He’s observant but keeps his revelations to himself (+telepathically sharing it with his twin so they can quietly laugh or discuss it in their head)

Can’t make an important decision without Gel because he basically worries about every outcome. Also he is a terrible, terrible decision maker.

Trusts Gel’s gut instinct.

He would be a genius, but he lacks common sense

Reads people better than his twin, which sometimes makes him a bit too judgmental and distrustful

Looks cute, but he can probably kill you... actually he can’t decide

Thank you for writing in and we are very excited too!

Alternate universes are totally welcome, even if you do them for every prompt! Go wild with the coffee shops and flower shops and tattoo parlors and *checks notes* ...rodeos? Swaps, canon divergence, side switches and however else you want to explore Glimmer and Bow’s relationship in a different setting is all cool with us!

As for fankids (or any OCs for that matter), bring em on! As long as the main focus of whatever you make is on Glimmer and Bow’s relationship, the background can include whatever characters or setting you wish!

Meet Glimmer and Bow’s final two children, Perseus “Percy” (top image) and Nova (bottom image). Percy and Nova are twins, and they were born when Andi was 10 and Rina was almost 5. Glimmer had a rather stressful and complicated pregnancy with them, and they were born two weeks before Glimmer was supposed to be induced. 

The two of them are very similar looking, to the point that their Aunt Adora almost always mixes them up (which Catra finds hilarious). The main way to tell the difference between the two is that Nova’s hair is a bit curlier than her brother’s, and Percy’s ears stick out just a little more than his sister’s do. 

And here’s where we go into the limitations of the Maker that we use to create these reference pics. For Percy and Nova, the main things that the Maker wasn’t able to accurate depict are their hair color and texture. For texture, they both have wavy hair, though as noted above, Nova’s hair is just a bit more on the curly side than Percy’s is. As far as the color is concerned, while their hair might look black from a distance, it’s actually a deep purple color. Also, while they didn’t inherit Glimmer’s hair sparkles, their hair is naturally sort of shimmery/shiny, especially in light. Not dramatically so, but enough that it’s noticeable. 

Though, unlike with Andi, their eyebrows aren’t an issue with the limitations of the Maker; they just got their eyebrows from their Grandma Angella. It just happened to skip a generation and they got that trait.

Set 2/4 of my She-Ra ship children

Glimbow/Glow kids Angella, Diamond, Arrow and Star

Angella or Angel/Angie as she prefers to be called, is the oldest of all my fankids followed by Marina. She looks most like her grandmother and has heterochromia (Angella's purple and Glimmer's pink).

Diamond and Arrow are identical twins and both use they/them. They like to go on adventures with Marina and the other kids. They're particularly fond of the Entrapdak twins, even if they don't always understand them.

Star is the youngest of all the kids and is a complete daddy's girl.
