Keep on thinking about how if Miko is a Glitch or something (or necessarily can’t be controlled by Bolypius in general) that Five will get possessed or something instead (we’ve seen it happen once so why can’t it happen again?) and so Miko will have to fight Five at probably his full potential. So that basically means all the more trauma for Miko and mayhaps Mitch as well since he probably sees a little bit of himself (whether that be good or bad) in him, either the fight will end when Bolypius is dead or Five eventually snaps out of its control and beats the ever loving shit out of it after finding out he almost killed his best friends

Five and Miko not questioning Hinobi's behavior makes sense. Both of them can be impulsive and really not thinking about the ramifications of their actions, ESPECIALLY Miko. hey already know that Hinobi is into some dangerous stuff but have no real reason to believe that they're at fault. Plus it's their job.
