Somehow, for some reason, they and their partner-in-crime, for lack of a better term, have ended up somewhere where only one of them can go on/progress/etc. Are they the type to lean toward:

A. “(Please allow me one last selfish act.) You’re stronger than I am. Live for me (even if that means my memory haunts you forever)” Or B. “(I know how much living would hurt you.) If you’re serious about sacrificing yourself for me, I’ll let you. (You’ll be with me forever)”

Both Glitchy's would want them to continue on with their lives; if they are like in front of a gate or something that only one can pass they would happily push the other person in. {They are both Derek in this situation in a sense} they've lived long enough they'd be happy to stay behind.

For GD on the other hand; it depends on who it is honestly...for example; his mother..he would let her sacrifice herself..but he would feel guilty. But if it's a close friend of his [like Briar] he would sacrifice himself without a second thought.

Same goes for Courtmother and the King pretty much as well.

All of them would be ready to lay down their weapons if it meant the ones they cherish would get to see the sun again.

You hear Ortega's footsteps crunching through the dry grass long before you pick up his familiar static. Heavy, still limping, but after what he went through in your showdown with the Void who would blame him? Or you, for that matter. Normally you would have been able to pick up his static from much farther away but with your brain as bruised as his body (maybe worse, maybe much worse) you have to contend yourself with the baby steps of recovery. Not that you were ever a baby, but you still remember those few shaky and fumbling steps after you were first decanted. That's what it feels like now. Unsteady, can't be sure the ground won't open up and swallow you whole. Or is that the sky? Burning like fire, a gateway to hell just waiting for your descent. Up. Down. These concepts used to be so simple. Here. There. You're pretty sure you've seen hell and it's not full of fire and brimstone. It's nothingness. Darker than black. A perfect void. "Hey!" Ortega's voice calls out, a life line, the tethering you back to reality once more. "What are you doing all the way out here?" A smile sits easily on his face but doesn't it always? "You're mom doesn't like it when I smoke." You shrug. "So…you're hiding from her." He teases, not bothering the phrase it like a question." "No! I'm just…I'm glad she's helping us," you mumble, it's hard enough to rely on someone, let alone explain it. "I don't want to piss her off." "Well then you really don't want to be late for dinner, come on." When you turn to meet his gaze, you both pretend not to notice his flinch.
