GD's Illness in depth [TW]

GD’s Illness:

-It starts attacking the immune system early, causing the patient to become sick quite frequently in early years. Usually starting around middle school age; 10 - 15 years of age. 

-The rate of when it gets depends if the patient is immunocompromised; sometimes it can be only a couple years before it begins to take a more permanent toll on the patient’s body. 

-It starts with a severe fever; 

- High temperatures; 100’s 

- body aches and pain

- cough and restricted airways.

- bouts of non-stop nausea and vomiting.

- Dehydration and cotton mouth

- shakes

- Constant infections in the sinuses and ears. 

- pale skin and sweating

- decrease cognitive awareness

- severe vertigo and dizziness. 

- Opens wounds from the skin being brittle and thin. 

-If not treated early enough the patient can die; once the severe fever begins it’s a year long battle before the body gives out and succumbs to the illness. But if caught soon enough there is no guarantee someone can go back to who they were before. Often being weaker and more susceptible to other sickness that could trigger the illness once again.

So Looking at all my writings for GD

I've only written footnotes for his Backstory. {also looking through his old description.

Should I actually write it out? {I'll put the footnotes again}

Also if you have any ideas on what I should expand on first and just ideas on what to add in general would be greatly appreciated!

Current footnotes for GD under cut.

-As a child he grew up rather comfortable with his mother providing for the two of them. But as he got into middle school he started getting very ill to the point where he was going to the hospital every three weeks. 

-Until one day during his late senior year; he came down with a bad fever and was rushed back to the hospital where they found out that G had a rare disease that was barely known and had no real cure. 

-GD stayed in the hospital for months with no real sign of getting better so one night as GD was sleeping a group of scientists came into his room and talked to his mother. 

-They offered something that could make him “better” , promising her that he could live a normal life like he did as a kid. He wouldn't have to suffer anymore….so she agreed without his knowledge. 

-The scientist took GD back to their lab under the guise of him needing to be transferred to another facility; where they removed the c4-c6 vertebrae of his spinal column to put in a reactor core and secured it to his spine with titanium plates and screws. At the same time they worked on the other parts of his body; giving him all the cybernetic enhancements they deemed necessary for their vision. 

-When he woke up in a containment cell; he obviously had some questions, but none of them were going to be answered. All he knew is that his body was in extreme pain and he felt…WRONG. 

-The next three years of his life were filled with tests and experiments until they saw the spark they were looking for and pushed GD to the edge….unfortunately for them it ended with their whole place up in smoke as their reading overloaded. 

-He now roams the earth as a being lost in the balance of life and machine…a human forced into an android like shell.

-He really struggles with sleep; often being up close to 48 hours at a time before crashing down. [which doesn’t help when he’s trying to make something. 

-He struggles with his words; he finds things hard to explain when it comes to his ideas, catching himself rambling if no one stops him. 

-He always smells like coffee due to how much of it he tends to drink, sometimes drinking too much.

-Because of his poor sleep he doesn’t eat much; even less when he doesn’t feel well. 

-He always has a Bunny mask:He wears it because for all his life he had to fight just to see another day; always having to take the shoes of the wolf to make sure he had a slight chance. After he became gravely ill he still had to fight; the bunny mask is a reminder for him that it's okay for him to be vulnerable to be the smaller animal among those who lash out. He's free from the fangs that used to control him.

The local raver in town with the popularity to boot. The beginning of his lore is the same as OG GD but he decided to live and have fun in spite of what he went through. Still doesn't trust his mom though; he's also asthmatic from his illness.
