HELP PLEASE IF POSSIBLE!

So, I invited someone over to my town to pick up some items. I let them shake trees and dig up items. Things went as usual until the visitor shook one of my cherry trees. The character glitched on the shaking trees motion and then Resetti popped up on the screen. I don’t remember there being any message, but the game reset and returned the items, putting the visitor back in their own town.

My town isn’t hacked, and I’m not seeing anything about this effecting my save file when I google. My villagers and my town all look normal.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Is my save file safe? I’m scared to let anyone else into my town now.
