9.20pm last night, 8 minutes after crossing the finish line at #TrekFest, a 50km Trek around the Peak District from 9am....it was BRUTAL! By far the hardest challenge I've done so far (despite all the Tough Mudders) especially as my beloved walking boots got thrown away and I ended up in a pair I've never worn - I had blisters 10 minute in (which are enormous and even shocked the first aiders!) and switched to my trainers halfway so my ankles took a beating on the downhill :( BUT I did it. I finished. And there was some stunning scenery! The #globaladventurechallenges team are INCREDIBLE at organising events and I can't wait for the next one :) it was especially lovely to bump into Martin from my Vietnam/Cambodia cycle who was as smiley as ever! I can't believe this was 2 weeks ago! It seems crazy that we cycle over 260 miles across 2 incredible countries. It was a 16 month journey for me file with crazy challenges and end fundraising, raising just over £3200 so far, over half of which is going to the #PSPAssociation for all the hardworking and dedication they do for #PSP and #CBD. Day 3 Vietnam to Cambodia, and it final day cycling in Nam was 53 miles from Can Tho to Chau Doc, with a visit to the famous floating market this morning before heading out on the roads, through villages, over many bridges, by the riverside going upstream of the Mekong, and hearing the classic soundtrack of the country with the motor on the fishing boats....great 3 days cycling in #Vietnam, here's to the next 3 in #Cambodia ! #cycle #cyclist #cyclechallenge #bike #challenge #charity #fundraising #PSPAssociation #adventure #traveller #travel #hammock #twistedtwinkle #globaladventurechallenges (at Châu Đốc)
