I'm excited to share with you all my painting of the great Solar Eclipse of 2017!!! I'm just arriving back into civilization from a most epic 10 days at the @globaleclipsegathering in Oregon 🙌🎉🎆 Beginning with the Elemental Alchemy art immersion program, teaching alongside @aloriaweaver @davidheskinart @alexgreycosm @allysongreycosm During the festival I gave a couple talks, participated in some panels and painted this painting... it was so powerful to experience this celestial event with 50,000 people from all over the world... I felt a deep wave of grief flow through me as the darkness of the Eclipse was happening... tears streamed down my face as I felt the great potential of a new era beginning as an old era let go. The 8th fire is here now and it fulfills a prophecy ending the 7 generations of genocide of the native people... One of my favorite aspects of this gathering was that the 1st Nation camp brought the Sacred Fire from Standing Rock and so many nations came together to share story and remember each other - make relatives and connections . This painting is a perspective of the festival, on a beautiful lake in Oregon. It was awesome to paint next to my pals @luke_brown_spectraleyes @chris_dyer @jonathan_solter @olga.klimova.art @randalrobertsart @morganmandala @the_honeybee_temple and sooooooo many more. Thank you @symbiosisgathering and all the producers, artists, participants that made this experience so memorable... This painting is the first of 4 paintings that I am creating during this journey... the next 3 will happen at Burning Man... The plot thickens... the journey deepens and I feel grateful to be able to be present through this deepening of community and culture. I know many of you out there who will see this were not able to join us but were with us in spirit... we're all in this great experience of life together and I hope the ripples of inspiration find you as well...
