“Change the world by being yourself ” 🏳️🌈 I know I’m not the only person in the LGBTQ community who gets a little intimidated In public spaces at times. Thoughts can go through my head of “can I hold my girlfriend’s hand here?” “are people going to stare?” “will someone say something derogatory towards us as a couple?” These thoughts often come from the unfortunate reality that many LGBTQ+ people, myself included, have faced harassment or discrimination in the past especially in public spaces such as hotels or swimming pools. Everyone should feel free to be themselves whether that’s at home, in public, or traveling. When Christine and I travel, we try our best to stay at LGBTQ+ welcoming establishments as it brings us a since of safety and belonging. The @wscottsdale was a perfect example of a hotel striving to create a safe and accepting environment for its guests no matter who they are or who they love. W Hotels have been major advocates for the LGBTQ+ community for over 20 years now! Isn’t that amazing? We can’t wait to stay here next time we are in Arizona! #wscottsdale #travelcouple #lgbttravel #globetraveller #lgbtqtravel #lgbtcouple #lgbtqcouple #lesbiche #lesbica #queerdestinations #gaytravel #gaycouple #lesbianas #gaytravels #loveislove #universallove #pride2021 (at The W Scottsdale) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTw41Vug6w3/?utm_medium=tumblr
