Feeling super grateful today ❤️ It’s so easy to love when things are perfect and everything is wonderful. But to love when things get difficult, when things are not so perfect, or when life throws you the unexpected, I think that’s what really allows you to see how much love is really there. Girls like you deserve a love that always feels like summer I cannot believe summer is coming to an end already! I am so happy we got to spend the last few days in Arizona at @sanctuaryaz_. Camelback Sanctuary Resort is a beautiful oasis located in on the hillside of Camelback Mountain which is also the highest peak in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Overlooking the spectacular views of Paradise Valley, this infinity pool was one of the best ways to catch some sun before heading back to Denver. It’s the first day of National Hispanic Heritage month! 💃🏻 If you don’t know already, Christine is Mexican, Peruvian and Chinese. Being around her family is always such a fun experience to be taught all her different cultures and traditions from her parents and their latin background. While the conversation around Latinx and Hispanic heritage should be year round, this specific month is dedicated to bringing awareness and to better understand the complexities Hispanic heritage and intersectionality of Latinx culture. “Change the world by being yourself ” 🏳️‍🌈 I know I’m not the only person in the LGBTQ community who gets a little intimidated In public spaces at times. Thoughts can go through my head of “can I hold my girlfriend’s hand here?” “are people going to stare?” “will someone say something derogatory towards us as a couple?” These thoughts often come from the unfortunate reality that many LGBTQ+ people, myself included, have faced harassment or discrimination in the past especially in public spaces such as hotels or swimming pools. Everyone should feel free to be themselves whether that’s at home, in public, or traveling. When Christine and I travel, we try our best to stay at LGBTQ+ welcoming establishments as it brings us a since of safety and belonging. The @wscottsdale was a perfect example of a hotel striving to create a safe and accepting environment for its guests no matter who they are or who they love. W Hotels have been major advocates for the LGBTQ+ community for over 20 years now! Isn’t that amazing? “Treating weekdays like the weekend” 🎶🎵 We finally went to our first Red Rocks concert and it definitely did not disappoint! We saw @louisthechild perform on Friday and it was such an amazing set while we were surrounded by the gigantic rock formations. What advice would you give your 18 year old self? At age 18 I was a freshman in college not having a clue what I wanted to do with my life. I was reckless and wild without a care in the world. I had absolutely no clue I was a lesbian. I had only been on one plane before. I had not yet traveled outside of the country. I hadn’t discovered many of my life passions yet, or experienced some of my happiest days. Yet, I felt like I knew it all already. Some of the things I would tell 18 year old self based on what I know now: ✨ Pay more attention to your art and creativity, you’ll find a lot of self love and happiness here ✨ You don’t have to act like you have it all together. I’m still figuring it all out and that’s part of the fun! ✨ Learn to let your guard down sometimes. Vulnerability can be scary, but also an amazing way to connect with yourself and others ✨ You’re going to make a lot of mistakes, but don’t let that define who you are or where your heart truly belongs ✨ Everything is going to be okay. Everything is going to work out just the way it was intended to, promise ❤️ It’s funny how If I look back I would tell myself things like to this, when I am still applying these things to my every day life!
