YouTube and Other Alternatives Directory | YouTube Alternatives
PreserveTube πβοΈπ
A separate website where you can view archives of YouTube channels and videos. Keep in mind the process of archiving videos does provide YouTube with traffic, similar to a downloader. However, once a video is archived, it is stored completely separately from YouTube and no longer gives them any traffic. It's not a full, true alternative, but it's pretty good.
Twitch ππππ€ππͺ
A livestreaming platform often used by YouTubers in conjunction with their YouTube channel. You can opt to pay for a subscription to a creator you love if you want to support them, but following is free.
PeerTube πβοΈπ
A decentralized video-sharing project that allows individuals to host their own instances, which can operate independently, while still being able to view videos across other instances.
Vimeo ππππ€ππͺ
A video-sharing platform. A great recommendation for workspaces or to share work related videos, or for schools to share educational content. With a free account, you can upload 500 MB worth of video per week, and 5 GB maximum.
Glomble πβοΈπ
A video-sharing platform with an old-internet feel.
BitView πβοΈπ
Similar to Glomble, old-internet feeling video-sharing website.
VidLii πβοΈπ
Another old-internet-style video-sharing website. Be careful, some users have reported encountering upsetting or disturbing content while browsing, but I haven't encountered any issues yet. I've found a lot of my favorite songs on VidLii, some seemingly by official (if old and abandoned) accounts!
BitChute πβοΈπππ€
Alternative streaming website, easier to navigate than BitView or Glomble.
Vanillo πβοΈπ
Still in beta, Vanillo is a video-sharing platform that navigates similarly to YouTube. It is very easy to navigate.
Bilibili ππππ€ππͺ
Chinese video sharing website. Good for anything where you don't necessarily need things in your native tongue (ex, yoga or music), or if you speak a Chinese language.
Niconico ππππ€
Japanese video sharing website. Good for anything where you don't necessarily need things in your native tongue (ex, yoga or music), or if you speak Japanese.
Tubi TV ππππ€
Free streaming website with a variety of movies and TV shows.
PlutoTV πβοΈπππ€
Free streaming website with a variety of movies and TV shows.
PlexTV πβοΈπππ€
Streaming website with a variety of movies and TV shows, some free, some paid.
Dropout βοΈπππ€
Streaming service created by Dropout (formerly College Humor). Currently, you can get 20% off your first year, bringing the price down to $56 for a year's subscription. Dropout series are primarily comedy (Game Changer, Make Some Noise, etc).
Nebula βοΈπππ€
Streaming service created by many YouTubers in response to YouTube censorship. Great place for video essays, but there is a lot of stuff on the platform. Right now, a one-year subscription to Nebula is only $60! Additionally, you can browse Nebula to see if your favorite creator is on the platform without even signing up!

Glomble... lets use it!!
Youtube sucks and tbh... has for a LONG time now.
I think especially now we need to be harsher on social site oweners! All of us as people give them their entire profit, down to the content being produced.
So, assuming you and your favorite creators are on other platforms, I think we should band together to donate to, and create on, Glomble!
It seems to be the most widely liked alternative (down to the point where it was temp. ddos'd) and the customization features are definitely a hit with me.
Start today by leaving a comment or email to your favorite creators telling them about Glomble and the Youtube Boycott (IN A KIND AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER)
donate to glomble
hey! Everyone should go support the video hosting website glomble.com
it's independently run, doesn't run ads, and is nonprofit. It's currently down because all the servers are being run off one computer, and it gained an incredible amount of traction due to Youtube's new policies.
Please, consider supporting the creator so they can keep Glomble up and running, and so that a new video platform can take off.
I may begin to post animation and such there once it's back up.
here is the patreon to support it:
putting the social back in social media
I think it really has potential
There's a free open source youtube alternative called glomble
It's struggling rn because of the sudden mass migration because of that stupid law, but it should go back to normal soon
BDS update. Boycott Youtube
Also due to the recent censorship obviously

Alternatives:
Rumble
Peertube
New grounds (animation)
Nebula (the science videos, need to pay)
Daily motion
Glomble
Odysee
Newpipe. Only for android
Puretuber (the name made me doubt too. But it looks genuine and good (better) for videos and music. Not available in my region tho)
(I havenβt tried any of these yet)
*Edit: Rumble is very conservative conspiracy
Odysee is what Iβve found that works for me/really is a YT alternative. Large enough creators can transfer everything.
*Petition against data collection
I wake up. AthenaP on Glomble?!
DayOfTheWeek fanart!
