Medical Break

Hello my lovelies!

No, no, don’t panic. I’m not leaving forever. Promise!

I took a hit to the head Tuesday, ended up in the ER on Wednesday, returned to the ER today, and long story short, I have a traumatic brain injury.

Basically, I received some blunt force trauma to my head, my brain did a little shakey shake inside my skull, and now I’m out for a while.

I am not allowed screen time until medically cleared to reintroduce it. That’s means I won’t be on Tumblr or AO3. I won’t be updating fics or making posts. I won’t be answering DMs or asks. I won’t be looking at comments. I won’t be doing anything that requires me to be on a screen. Right now, my care team is looking at a week minimum, with an evaluation on Friday to extend or begin my gradual return to daily activity.

I am not dead or dying. I will recover. I just need some time away.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. Can’t wait to see you all when I come back!

Oof, that's a throwback. How long ago was it that I started writing domestice!price calling his spouse "cabbage" (affectionate)? But I know you're referring to a specific fic in the Imagines series. I think the one with pregnant reader carrying around power tools or something dangerous to do a project around the house and 141 flips out about it.

In Price's, reader is pregnant with twins, calls her cabbage, but I don't recall if he called the twins his little sprouts, or if it started in the comment section and now it's just canon that Price does since and I've written domestic!price that way since...

...although I think it's been a hot second since I've written domestic!price, or really domestic!141.

I think it's time for the return of the cabbage.

I'm Back

hehe, you read that right! well...partially back. BUT LET ME EXPLAIN!

I'm out of the rest phase and into the light/moderate activity phase. For the most part, I feel like myself, and I'm doing MUCH better than when I said I was going on a medical break. However, there are a few things that I'm still sensitive to that can bring the headaches on if I'm not careful.

I am gradually returning to normal activities, so you'll start seeing posts from me on Tumblr and ao3 again. I also have lots of messages and comments I need to respond to. I will do my best to chip away at them. I'm not fully back, but you'll start to see activity from me. Please be patient with me as I transition back to my normal routine.

On that note, I did write a lot (mostly on paper because I couldn't be on screens for a solid week and a half), and I'm very eager to share them (once I type them all up.)

Thank you to everyone who left comments, sent me messages, and dropped into my inbox to wish me a speedy recovery. I saw them all, and I felt so loved, even when I was frustrated at my body for not taking a linear path toward healing, and struggling with that process.

Here I am, about to sit down to write, and along comes a link to an AI bot based on my work, with a name drop and everything.

I sound like a broken record at this point. And I'm really fucking sick of people using my work to make chat bots.

"It's so good. Highly recommend" - so much so that they decided to base a bot on it.

I've been cleaning up the swamp that is my inbox, and I came across something that got buried beneath the pile.

I'm not going to share it, because I don't want to give this person any attention, nor do I want the author attached to it to have their peace disturbed.

I can't believe I have to say this, or that I'm going to have to add this to my boundaries because wtf, but do not - do NOT - send in a request to me with a link to another author's work and say "you should write this because you could do it better" or any variation thereof. You shouldn't be sending something like that to anyone.

Absolutely fuck off with that nonsense. How ungrateful and pathetic do you have to be as a person to think that is okay? No wonder writers are leaving fandom spaces in droves.

It's disrespectful. Period. And really, just vile.

I am once again LOUDLY announcing, that I do not want my work fed into c.ai bots or my writing used to create one.

I’ve already had this issue arise with my imagines series…and now someone out there is attempting to feed the entirety of Dog with No Teeth into a chat bot.

I do not use AI or support AI use.

How many times do I have to fucking say this??
