a GRIPPING story ;these two have been through SO MUCH of the kinda shit that really makes an important bond—they have had each other’s back in WAR, which should not be taken lightly ;the connections that the battle field breed as NECESSITY are created in no small part with TRUST as a foundation—

but more than that, they were FRIENDS, a companionship that circumstance surely only served to deepen further ; holed up together in a big ol’ military base, going through weird injections, & just. being placed in roles where they’re made to LOOK OUT for each other, but these two more than happy to hold each other through the SEP-induced fevers.

continuing, i LOVE angst. it’s my favorite to write. so, of course, their relationship during the start of OVW beginning w/ starry-eyes on the high of ‘we saved the world’ deteriorating into them just struggling to stand in the same ROOM—the strongest bond, broken. it tells of just HOW MUCH they ENDURED & had been made to go through with the stress of OVW.

& THEN, OFC, this is could be talon influence, but the two devolving into ENEMIES—soldier’s who once fought with each other now just fighting each other. it’s a wild ride, & i just want someone to explore all aspects of the story with, lmao ;; 

PROS :

emotional rollercoaster. no shortage of angst.

it’s a romance that spans YEARS, and that just causes my heart to have Feelings.

can you imagine all the PINING that would be going on on jack’s end——

can you also imagine the TENSION there’d be between reaper & soldier when they’re not trying to KILL each other ??

CONS :

the threat that one may kill the other before they repair their relationship

& if that’s not the case, than the way reaper may shred jack if he fingers him w/ those claws :weary:

      Often those of such size and musculature were those that should be feared - to other humans, at least.
