It’s definitely been a tumultuous week but the storms seem to have blown away a few cobwebs. It’s a deliciously cool and cloudy day again today which is a glorious contrast to the intense humid heat of the last few days. My plans for the weekend are to have gentle creative time, sitting and doing nothing for a while to allow the thoughts to sort themselves out into some sort of order and generally allow myself to catch up after an intense week. The soft blue of this hydrangea creates an ethereal glow in the dark greens of its surroundings. It’s etheric nature implies something else that is elusive and intangible especially from a distance. Monet would no doubt have captured its essence beautifully. I am inspired to play with these colours today to see how I can incorporate them into my artwork. Painting helps me to be more mindful and to slow down to a restorative pace. I’m curious about what you might do to allow yourself to recover from intense times? #inspiringnature #glowofnature #selfcare #loveofself #timeout #retreattime #selfhealing https://www.instagram.com/p/CD59wJDpcBw/?igshid=1uk7ijg5tbxd7
