DRIPPY PETS
far above everything, there was a machine plucking tags off the asses of frogs. it did this at an amazing speed, but with delicate precision. the tags, which wore the name gasterfold were placed in a monumental pile beside the construct, whilst the frogs were placed on conveyor belts, which dispersed them through an enormous shower head spout, for even distribution. in addition to this task, the sprawling mechanic was also flying, calculating value, welding, and organizing at least five other productions. the machine's name was aedifictio bello, because that's what it did, in a pretentious and roundabout way.
the board members of gasterfold all wore patched tweed and glubber-gloves, along with a number of macro-receiver headsets, giving them the appearance of lanky humanoid mushrooms. they sat at a long table, gesticulating and clicking their teeth, as their machinations were enacted within the a-b superstation. in one corner, vice president of brooding, albrect finney had taken it upon himself to tear in half dummy pamphlets pitching their latest flop, the drippy pets; sentient frog lumps that felt wet and fleshy and had a naturally vindictive curiosity.
paper scraps covered the floor, accompanied by giant post it pads whose scrawled charts unanimously outlined that gasterfold was going under. the members called a vote, where it was decided that they would not go down alone.
