Lipstick? Do tell! Inquiring minds must know!

@hurricane105 also asked this but I somehow deleted their ask like an Idiot (I am so sorry friend). But for the sake of inquiring minds, the show must go on!

Lipstick is an idea I’ve had floating around but making no progress on for multiple years! However it’s got great vibes for the Valentine’s Day season, so I might blow the dust off and see if it might match up with anything for @zelinktines.

Basically, this fic will feature modern AU zelink who are already in a committed relationship, with a Link who is interested in trying out some gender nonconformity! Especially lipstick. Zelda is all for it, but Link won’t let her buy him anything, so instead they go on a cute date where they make their own lipsticks. Whether amateur makeup science hour goes well or not is for me to know and you to find out :)

Since two of you asked about this but I can’t answer two asks, here’s another little detail: the fic will start and end with a framing device! In the beginning, Link will be admiring Zelda’s lipstick on his mouth after a makeout session; at the end, he’ll be admiring his own lipstick on her mouth—after an equally furious makeout session, of course <3

Release date on The Legend Of Zelda live-action movie aiming for 2027. I don’t really care who gets cast in the roles. The real question is… Is Link going to speak in it?

Because they could do something really revolutionary if not and cast a mute actor to play his role. Like one that doesn’t communicate via verbal speech at all and just has audible sounds and expressions instead like in the games. I don’t want Link to speak because the last time that happened, it was a total and complete failure and became one of the most famous annoying memes ever.

Also I doubt they’ll do it since it’s a DEI hire but a gender non-conforming Link would be really cool.

As in - let Link have long hair and wear a skirt please.

Eiji Aonuma always designed him to be gender-neutral. Meaning he intended for him to be GNC or genderfluid as far as his outward expression and presentation goes while still remaining a cisgender male character and I think we definitely need more male characters like that.
