hate how (when it comes to art/characters) its treated like. boobs and no facial/body hair = woman , flat chest and facial/body hair = man. aughsghsg.

Even aside from trans and intersex people, it’s pretty common for men to have some boobage and women to be kinda hairy!

even in spaces with more realistic trans rep. like. you can find girls with penises and guys with vaginas. but girls with stubble or no curves or adams apples or broad shoulders or angular features or body hair? boys with boobs or wide hips or high voices or ‘feminine’ faces (without it being fetishy)? near impossible.

Anyway, despite what anyone says, we need masculine women

mollis, viragos, other hetgnc people, i know there’s been some discussion of what representation the community wants to see more in stories, but what about in art? of course characters that are Actually GNC, really masc women and really fem men, but anything specific?

also, is there any decided on ‘hetgnc art’ tag for sharing art? i know the blog CrippleCharacters made a ‘CCArtShare’ tag for people to share art and writing they make about disabled characters, i imagine it would be good to have something like that for the hetgnc community.

this youtuber DKettchen made a video series a while ago about drawing trans people, but i think it’s also useful for drawing gnc people :). It goes into a decent amount of depth about (cis perisex) male vs female traits, parts of transitioning, gender presentation, how clothing looks more masculine or feminine, etc. There’s some generalizations and missed details, and he doesn’t talk about intersex people at all unfortunately, but overall it’s a useful series for me, I’d recommend it
