So...book two huh?
Jesse and MT share a single brain cell but Alan Dracula has taken custody of it
Okay, but can we talk about how revolutionary these two are in universe?
Tulip brought an end to an at least 33 long malevolent ruling of a violent, obsessed maniac who’s anger and dismissal of the train’s needs have been getting countless people and denizens killed and which inspired the rise of a dangerous gang spreading misinformation and havoc. she then helped nurture and lead a kinder, more efficient, albeit semi-mad hatterish leader back into power who immediately reinstated teaching passengers and creating new denizens and, while still being sketchy in goodness alignment and antagonisticish toward passengers, is overall highly benevolent and gentle. she then all in the span of five. months.
Lake, in a similarly short timespan, brilliantly did what no denizen has ever done in one-one’s career (theoretically eternity), and escaped not only the mirror world, but to earth. Far beyond where any denizen has gone that we know of. She will likely lead to a rise not only in hopes but possibly full out revolutions both in the mirror world and train, as several other denizens began to follow her path as it circulates.
The train is immense, unending, ultra powerful, and rigid in it’s rules that have been shaping the lives of trillions of people and entities. In less than 2 years, perhaps less than a year, two children have vastly improved trillions of lives against the odds and might of an eternal eldrich phenomenon on quests that they ironically started only for themselves, being more self-looking type people than saving-ish type people, ...self-ish? (hmm. not the word i wanna use).
and i think that is very cash money of them.
I hope these two can meet up and hang out kinda like siblings, now that Lake has her own life.

They're bonding over their love of fighting against unfair systems.
You can not convince that Jesse doesn't like Never gonna give you up by Rick Astley unironically. (Like me)
Yes I like this ship. I'm a sucker for puppy love. But if you just see them as friends that's fine with me.
