Vik: Adventures, huh? Had fun? 

Volya: Yah, needed to get fucking Dogtown out of my system for a moment.

Vik: You went to Dogtown? Now I know why I haven't heard from you for a week. How'd you get in and out? 

Volya: Long story, Vik. The less you know, the better. 

Vik: Don't like the sound of that, V. 

Volya: Just trust me, okay? People I'm working with… I think they just flatlined two guys who knew too much. Don't know for sure, just want to be cautious.

Vik: People you're working with? Is this supposed to calm me down? 

Volya: Wasn't my goal to calm you down. I just need you breathing, Vik. So stop the questions, please. 

Vik: No shit. What’s in it for you? 

Volya: A cure, hopefully. And that’s it, alright? No more questions. I can't put a target on your chest. 

Vik: Yah, that I believe.

Vik: I’m Volya. I'm allergic to help.

Volya: Ah, here we go.

Vik: Nah, V. Unfair is not even getting a fucking postcard from time to time.

Volya: I invited you to a postcard-perfect view! 

Vik: Right, I came all the way to Pacifica to not ask questions. How about you just text me next time? 

Volya: Don’t be mean, Vik. I missed us. Look at the sun! Listen to the calming quiet!

Vik: Well, I'm here. 

Volya: You're upset. 

Vik: Correct. 

Volya: Shouldn't have mentioned Dogtown. 

Vik: Hot theory, Volya. You wanted me to know. 

Volya: I …maybe. But I also need you to be safe. 

Vik: And I need this to be my decision. 

Volya: What would you do in my situation? 

Vik: Wouldn't have told you about Dogtown and just have sent you a postcard. 

Volya: Wait, what? 

Vik: You asked. 

Volya: What would happen if you end up half dead under a pile of rubble? 

Vik: I'd call you. You're quick and resourceful. 

Volya: You would call me? 

Vik: Stop smiling. 

Volya: I’d be there in time. 

Vik: I know. So, do you plan to end up half dead under a pile of rubble? 

Volya: At a minimum. 

Vik: Why are you doing this to me? 

Volya: Don't worry. I'd call you, too. 

Vik: I'm not that quick. 

Volya: Nah, you'd come up with something. I'll wait for you. 

Vik: You just want to be saved. 

Volya: One hundred percent. Best feeling in the world.

I've been thinking about a dynamic-thingy: In the game, I remember Johnny saying he feels the nicotine kick in a few seconds or minutes after V takes a drag.

Let's say, in my headcanon, it's exactly 30 seconds, and both Volya and Johnny are smokers. When the nicotine craving hits, Volya takes a quick first drag, and then they both wait. During those 30 seconds Johnny pulls out his own cigarettes and then they take a drag in sync so they can smoke together.

On the other hand, whenever Volya is pissed at Johnny, they won't smoke at all, using the withdawal to punish him or to show him who is ultimately in control of the body.
