EVENT 002: MUSIC FESTIVAL !
summer is approaching gangnam quickly these days — the temperatures are rising and sun is shining. for many of gangnam’s residents this hardly means anything at all except for longer days and less clothing, but for the younger adults this means the annual summer music festival. after all, what better way to spend the evenings than under the sun with loved ones and good music ? make sure to grab your closest friends for an unforgettable weekend !

THE SLIGHTEST GALE sits soft on his skin, playing with the denim on his jeans and the dip of his clavicles, which peek out from where the collar of his shirt has ridden a little low. the hymn of half-silence serenades him, renders him almost translucent under the moon’s gleam as it hovers above the hubbub, a pearl of otherworldly essence. he finds himself capitulating to the music that’s poised, high and dry, like a refrain on the wind, but he doesn’t follow it, doesn’t question of it. he’s not entirely sure why he’s here in the first place, and of all the unsolved mysteries he’s allowed himself to carry upon his back these past years, escapism has always been his leading act, the most spectacular performance he could and would ever offer. like any performer, any half-wit or genius who’s as well-versed in this game of deliverance as he is, would know that loving one’s craft is never an easy task. to let his heart grow fonder ( and perhaps colder ) he’s decided to indulge, if only briefly, in half-silence and half-truths tonight. in the moments that chaemin has been letting himself drift, a duo of reporters, cloaked and unfairly agile, had sidled up to him and are now prancing in their sneakers, mic and shutter thrust shamelessly towards chaemin. ‘ this is quite unprecedented, folks ! it seems we’ve caught two allies in the midst of a rather intimate meeting. how’s the night been treating you both, hm ? ’ b o t h. the corners of his lips perk up on their own volition, all traceable hint of reluctance swallowed before the camera can pinpoint it. with a laugh and a reply already lodged in his throat, he extends an arm towards the individual behind him. ‘ oh, i’m absolutely thrilled to be here. wouldn’t you agree ? ’
The rooftop was an easy escape from the chaos below & Sora rests her elbows over the edge, biting her lip. She didn’t particularly want to be here, but her co-workers had pressured her for a break regardless. Hearing footsteps, Sora doesn’t bother to turn. “Letting a bunch of random people into a hotel –no questions asked……something feels off.” She let’s out a heavy sigh, looking out at the city lights below. She’s itching to get back to work, eyes glazed over in heroic daydreams, an uneasiness rests at the pit of her stomach. She’s speaking to no one in particular. “Or am I just paranoid?”
JINHYUK often didn’t go to such public events, preferring his time to be spent at home with fred and drinking whiskey out of his beloved...well, that wasn’t important. his men told him it’d be better if he stayed away or in the shadows, but he believed as long as he had on his mask he’d be fine. the mask laid against his face as he stepped onto the roof, quietly scanning the crowd as he adjusted his armani suit (a gun safely tucked inside). he silently strolled up to the bar and requested a drink, glancing at the person next to him. “oh no, that drink is atrocious. here, let me order something actually good for you,” he says before ordering a second drink.
❝ WITH BALLED FISTS he shook off the grip on his jacket “ get the fuck away. ” still, the security guard had him close enough to n o t let go, only allowing him to walk freely once he was out of the bar. his jaw was sore, his knuckles were red -- a bloodied smile and shaking fingers fidgeting with a cigarette to be burned outside. his sight was met with surprised gaze, to which he only scoffed dismissively, " the other guy is way worse. ”
❝ NIGHT SKY NEVER seemed so clear from behind enclosed glass widows of a hotel that she wouldn’t dream on being anywhere close, if it had been four years ago. she tiptoes around the pool -- a smile on her face, the taste of b o u r b o n on her lips, add even more alluring tones to her DREAMLIKE reality. “ honestly, i always wanted to swim in a pool like this at night. ” her foot tested the water temperature, the smile widening, her heart fluttering like a child’s. “ this is really amazing, right ? ”
spending a few days in one of the best hotels in the city had never crossed daesung’s mind. for a full weekend, he and other guests had the possibility to discover the building and its secrets. it was almost unreal. after walking around for twenty minutes, he had ended up in the bar. an empty spot on a couch had gained his attention and it was now taken by him. “this is a nice place,” he said out of the blue.
