Adding to my collection of knitted gnomes I have Make Gnome Mistake!
Pattern (paid)
I did it! Turns out this year's mystery gnome is two dolls, I love them, I've named the gnome Mr Gumdrop.
Finally got around to finishing the hat for this gnome, this is a good stopping point with this project for 2023. I'll pick it back up in 2024 and start on the body, it'll feel like a new start and I won't have to faff on about trying to figure out where I'm at in the pattern, I'm trying to get most of my wips to a similar stopping point for that reason.
Finally got around to picking this gnome back up, currently working on their hat but in no rush to finish it, I'm enjoying the process as per usual. I do love knitting toys.
Oh boy am I excited! With the help of @xochelyox I decided on using these yarns for this years mystery advent gnome knit along!
The pattern is from Imagined Landscapes and the yarn is from VeganYarnUK, it's a plant based sock yarn which is made up on organic cotton, tencel and elastic. The four yarns are from a Halloween themed set from VeganYarnUK that I bought to go along with 21 minis I bought from her at the same time with the intention of them all going into a DIY yarn advent for myself. The other yarns all match but these three (ignoring the white) don't go with any of the other yarns as they're all foresty and naturery themed, but I wanted these yarns. I decided that, since these ones didn't match the others and come in larger amounts, that I would put them at the top of my advent bag and they would be the first three that I grab out of it. Which then works perfectly for using them in the advent gnome as I'll have them within the first few days of advent and be able to start.
And of course I'll be posting updates here once the pattern starts being released and I begin knitting my new little gnomey friend =D
Decided to use different yarn for my advent project this year.
