Late decision hike-to-bike, Chatooga River Trail
Today was good. Soul filling good. I allowed the nature that surrounded me to fill my soul. The warm sun filled me with her warmth, allowing me to feel the happiness I haven't felt in a long, long time. I was happy, carefree, and content. The cool rock beneath me reminded me that it's okay to be strong and hard, to be tough when needed and never back down. The water that was lapping at my feet reminded me to take time to relax, and let the simple things in life lull you. Take time for yourself, and enjoy the simple things as life goes. I needed today. It was soul lifting and filling, I felt so fucking happy for the first time in awhile. I laughed and sang along to my favorite songs, I laid out in the sun and got sunburnt, but also relaxed. I think I leave a piece of me wherever I go, every beautiful place I visit takes some part. I want to make the most of everywhere I live because I know someday I won't live here anymore. Just like Hawaii, this will be my home away from home. From sandy beaches to the beautiful mountains, I love it all.

we are worth so much more than our bodies.
Puppy.
Rick stared at the tiny Chihuaha as it stared earnestly up at him from its secure spot in Wheatley's long hand.
"And you found this fella where?"
Wheatley merely pointed to the trash cans and cardboard boxes littering the side of a nearby brownstone. Rick sighed.
"I can't imagine why," the blue-haired android said softly, "anyone would just not take care of a cute fella like this guy."
"I can't imagine why either, but GLaDOS could give you chapter and verse on how nasty humans can get. It's a human thing, to be mean and...and...yeah, ya know. It's why we don't tell anybody we're androids unless we know they're gonna treat us right."
"Yeah, yeah, I get you," Wheatley said, then glanced down to the puppy. "But what do we do about him? He's a perfectly pleasant little gentleman, if a bit skinny."
"Well just cause some humans are nasty piles of steaming...yeah, not gonna finish that sentence," Rick began, "doesn't mean they all are. There's animal shelters, or some nice people somewhere who'd happily take on that puppy and give him all the love in the world."
"...oh."
Wheatley looked crestfallen. Rick couldn't blame him. Not since Gray ran away had he smiled even once.
"Wheatley, it's obvious as much as you love 'em, you're not that sharp in dealing with animals," he sighed. "I think it's probably best if we just find the little guy a good home, okay?"
prompt: archangel
"Archangel?" Wheatley asked, then eyed Rick. "I don't get it. How are they more important than 'angels' with the name 'arch' in there?"
"You've never heard the term archnemesis?" Rick asked. "Arch is like an upper rank. Higher than the normal guys."
"But archangel?" Wheatley asked, still befuddled. "All I can think of is a building arch."
