this is really petty and nothing in the scheme of how things are going but i honestly hate that skiing/snowboarding have become even more of a rich people sport than it already was. and yeah there's schadenfreude in the knowledge that it's a slowly dying industry* because of climate change and yet people w the most power will do nothing. but i'm also upset that it'll be something that even less people will get to experience
*i say this but tbh i'm pretty sure what's going to happen (and is happening already!) is that the small hills will close due to lack of snow/money to invest in snowmakers and big mountains (already monopolised to hell and back) will jack up the prices even more as they become more in-demand, with the excuse that it's needed to do crowd control
