Go Giver Người Dám Cho Đi

High Performance Salespeople Behavior: Be a Go-Giver
Motivation for salespeople can vary. One size does not fit all.
High performance sales people possess a willingness to help and serve others. Let me explain.
Ever been around a self-centered person? I once worked with a person who was very short-sighted in their management by being very stingy. Stingy with time, with kindness, and even with their willingness to help others succeed. If it didn’t help him, he wouldn’t support any of my ideas, ventures, efforts or expenditures. In that organization, salespeople avoided him because he was too often de-motivating and demoralizing, which certainly isn’t a high performance behavior!
The Christmas holiday seems to be a time where we have extra opportunities to be generous, to offer help and support, to give back, to pay it forward, to think outside of our little bubble and see others in need.
A Christmas book idea to gift to others is The Go-Giver by Bob Burg.
It is a uniquely written fable about helping others succeed. It’s a reminder that you are not in this world alone, but you are a part of a bigger group, a tribe, or a team. In the book, the main characters exemplify paying it forward. The more you help others in your sphere of influence the more help seems to come around back to you sorta like a boomerang business practice.
Here are five key lessons from Go-Giver:
Your true worth is determined by how much you give in value.
Always be looking for ways to enlarge the number of people you serve.
Your influence is affected by how consistently you place other people’s interests first.
You can excel by adding value to others.
The secret to success is giving, and the secret to giving is making yourself open to receive from others.
An old retail gimmick was to offer a “blue light special” to get you to come in and spend money right away, because there was only a small window in which to buy that item. I have often considered that this gimmick actually reduced the value of the item you purchased. For retail, it’s often all about sales, but establishing value is a great quality of a high performance salesperson.
The same goes for sales leadership. You should value yourself and others and then the value offered between each party is legitimized. Each person created by God has value. What each person brings to the table has value. Each person’s life story has value. In sales what you say and do has value.
Here’s my sales leadership challenge for you. To be a high performing sales leader, you will need to grow your influence, focus on your value, and have a servant-leader’s heart to help others, whether they are customers or teammates.

You Never Forget That First Cheque
You Never Forget That First Cheque
I think that entrepreneurs, artists, writers, independent designers of any kind – basically anyone who gets paid to create something – have a potential advantage in the happiness department (in one slight way) over people who are only employees.
I don’t say this to disparage employees. Not at all. Nor am I implying that entrepreneurs are always happier than employees. I have no data to…
