Fun fact: This was not literally my high school (because it was shot at a stand-in school nearby), but the extras you see, the ones who look like actual high school students, were my classmates. That was our football team, our drill team.
There was a collective discussion by the students of MCHS when the movie happened. Did we want to be in it? Would it be cool? Was it worth the hassle?
I chose no, so you won’t see me. But decades later, seeing this clip, I have to admit: I was wrong. I’d do a lot of things differently if I lived through high school again. And one small thing is: I’d have been an extra in this movie.
