How do I know I'm an idiot? very easily, just by the way I make a 180 from wise & considerate to debauched douche-bag 0-60. I guess that is why ppl are infusing resiliency training into their routine..
C01 @simonamayaprice 2025-08-24: “There are some ideas so absurd only an intellectual could believe them.” - George Orwell C02 @naveenkahar613 2025-08-24: Why does this feel like a duh. But at the same time we as a culture were and are ignorant to seemingly simple things (I mean its common sense nowadays to believe that superstitions are well superstitions, its so simple to us but it wasn't in the past), so its ok I guess.. R01 @DaAxiomatic 2025-08-25: We as a species were more superstitious in the past than we are today. It's why religion was more dominant back then. R02: I really like these two responses to the video bc it shows curiosity into an area that needs answers since it ties into some aspects of the fallen nature to not want to be told what to do (rebel without a cause); & the ever splintering views of every individual to severe ties with ppl they break bread with on a regular basis, yet will one day find something they disagree over & part ways. Some of the reasons we have such a booming real estate when families divide or even the excessive greed to own multiple homes which are rarely occupied but drive-up the cost of living when land scarcity collides with business needs—ordinary citizens in the middle class disappear into the displaced & faceless populace. Our modern identity should not be tied to what we own rather how we cultivate a thriving community as a whole. Why can't we apply the military slogan of "no man left behind" to everyday life? I think the biggest take away from the Epstein files was how greed perpetuated the cyclone of hurt to spread to as many ppl as it did. And to a large degree, that is the problem of how we govern ourselves, we assume things are great bc it's nimby; we are so short-sighted as to assume ignoring the needs of others in our community won't follow: "What goes around, comes around." We are too self-serving. Every empire has a start, a growth, and an end; nothing lasts bc nothing is ever untarnished by our insatiable greed/pride/ego—the need for more, be superior to others in any way we can which drives the final nail in the coffin when it enrages our neighbours to do something untoward to displace us from our pedestal. We also like to make a name for ourselves by going where no man has gone before & will invent new ways of doing things simply to be distinguished even if it leads to unintended consequences—this is something that has circulated social media as of late, the realization that our ancestors knew more than we thought they did & had good reasons for why they did what they did. Like certain ways of washing & cooking vegetable based products to remove harmful lectins that cause leaky gut, or to only eat fruit in season so we don't over tax our liver which is the only organ able to dispose of the toxins of fructose, to respect the land & let it rest/fallow rather than freak out as though that plant is going extinct. I have a sound byte I want to attach in answer to our modern assumption about superstitions by Tim Keller, if I can find it. It kind of ties in with the ego wanting to make way for itself to take a seat at the table. We break what wasn't broken & we slap derogatory labels on so we can dismiss or cause distrust.
