#goal pants

Ha! Finally got these fuckerz to button and zip.

HUGE NSV for me. I have four pair of pants that I consider each a small goal to make, each one slightly smaller than the next (although admittedly all the same size 18, just different cuts and brands). I decided to try all four on to see how close I was to fitting in them and the biggest pair from Gap fit! I bought most of these pants over a year ago and have never fit into them. The next goal pants are the skinny jeans top left (Levis), then the pink pants (Liz Claiborne) bottom left. The last pair (another Gap pair) are still stuck on my thighs but progress is progress!

Best feeling in the world:

A few years ago I bought a pair of jeans that were tight on me with the goal of being able to fit in them in the future. When I say tight, I was spilling out of them, I felt crazy for buying them. After they were purchased, I folded them and put them at the very bottom of my pile of folded pants. I was always really careful to do my laundry when I was running low on pants so I would never have to touch the goal pants. Every time I would go into my closet, I would see them with my peripheral vision. Never looking directly at them. But today I made a mistake.. I didn't do the laundry. The only thins I had to choose from were dress pants, high waisted jeans with a stain on them, or the goal pants. I lifted them up and looked at them, the size of the waist looked small; how was I ever going to fit in these? After ten minutes of pacing, I finally put them on. It was the biggest shock ever. They were too big! I need a belt I think! It was the best feeling in the world..

Erin: Then why do you have them!?

Me: Because they're going to fit.

Guys... I'm gonna buy jeans. I'm gonna buy a size 9!

Then every month I'm gonna try them on until they fit. Stoked!
