BUILDING AFFIRMATIVE SELF TALK.
Affirmations are statements about you that are framed in the positive, in other words, what you want to have happen rather than don't want. It is better if they are stated in the present or future tense as if they are already occurring or will be soon.
It is also important to use the 'ing' or the gerund of the verb. Note the difference in your mind between 'I feel ' and ' I am feeling'. The gerund form of the verb puts more action into your experience so that it becomes more real to you, as if it were happening now.
It is worth mentioning, if you make a statement in an affirmation that is contradictory to how you perceive yourself, you will think of it as unreal. Sorry to say that, if you think of it as unreal it won't work for you.
For example , if you believe that you often have chosen bad friends, the affirmation " I am choosing good friends " will be a waste of time .
However, if you change it to "I can learn how to choose good friends " that won't conflict with your beliefs that you have about choosing bad friends.
It is crucial that you have no conflict in your mind when you are building your affirmative self talk.
Take time to create your affirmations and don't be afraid to change them if they feel conflictual with your self beliefs, keep turning them until you accept the affirmations.
Hope you find success on your journey.
Peace and Love
Changing Interests in Content Creation: Content creators often feel pressured to stick to familiar topics even when their personal interests shift.
Life Events and Evolving Inspiration: Major life changes, like becoming a parent, can lead to new content ideas, like family or cooking.
Trusting Your Gut: When you feel inspired to post something different, follow that instinct, even if it’s unexpected.
Sticking with Authentic Content: Don't get discouraged if new content doesn’t perform as well initially—stay consistent with what matters to you.
Avoiding Self-Censorship: Don’t delete posts that don’t get many likes; keeping them up can help you stay authentic.
Building a Genuine Audience: Sharing what truly resonates with you can attract a more engaged and supportive audience over time.
Looking at the Bigger Picture: In the end, creating from the heart will be more fulfilling than just chasing likes or sticking to “safe” content.
I notice this very often with content creators. Maybe you're in a new place in your life and the things that used to resonate with you have changed. Maybe you've recently become a parent and now you want to post about your kids instead of your travels, or your cooking, etc. Maybe you want to start a new channel altogether, or maybe you want to start 13 channels. People always want to know.. do you do what you're "supposed" to, or can you do something new?
Here's what I'll say: I'd rather die than compromise my gut. If you're gonna lose, lose on your own sword.
If your gut is leading you in a new direction, trust it and triple down. The thing that I'm most worried about is that you're all talking yourselves out of doing what you feel in your stomach because you think there's a better way. If you think, "Today I just want to post about X," do that. Tomorrow, if you want to post something about Y, do that.
And then when you do that thing that you feel in your stomach, what I'm scared about is if it doesn't do as well as your other content, many of you will give up after one post, archive it and try to act like it didn't happen. That's the wrong way to go about it. I just think you should do the things you actually want to do.. because when you're 90, you're going to be sad if you didn't do the thing that's in your stomach. A lot of you are scared to do new things because you won't get as many likes, or you're scared to lose your audience, instead of realizing you're going to gain an even bigger audience being you.
Do your thing!
