At work since 5am this morning, I need a good breakfast ! To my usual breakfast, I added some hearty oatmeal. I had forgotten how good it is ! I love oatmeal since I was a child. :-) . ________ . Yesterday we ate on the road, more precisely in a scenic view rest area on I-91. It was sunny and warm (16 C / 60 F), the stop was more than welcome. Well, as I did not feel too well, I have a big muscle cold, I took only a few bites, but it was very good and pleasant pause. We bought vegan sandwiches from Cornucopia, our retailer in Northampton. This is a brand that I had not seen before, and I must say that the texture and taste were great. :-) . __________________ . Hier nous avons mangé sur la route, plus précisément dans une halte routière. Il faisait un beau 16 degrés, le soleil était au rendez-vous, ça a fait un bien fou. Bon, comme je ne file pas trop bien, avec un gros rhume musculaire, je n'ai pris que quelque bouchées, mais c'était très bon et agréable comme petit moment. Nous nous sommes achetés des sandwiches véganes chez Cornucopia, un de nos détaillants situé à Northampton. Tonight, let's vegan sushis from Quebec Ocean (385 Soumande St.), with a salad of seaweed and my great sauce, vegenaise, maple syrup, soy sauce and a touch of sesame oil. Mix well, on your sushis, a delight ! :-) . _______________ . For today's lunch, a simple salad and croutons with @orchardgrocer carrot lox ! :-)  To make croutons, cut bread baguette lengthwise, spread with some vegan butter and toast in the oven. When done, spread with the VegNature Fleur de Sel spead VegCheese, add some capres, green onions, avocados, carrot lox, salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle some herbs on top and voila. Serve with a light salad. Simple and delicious ! :-) . _______________ . Pour le lunch aujourd'hui, une petite salade toute simple et des croutons au saumon de carotte du Orchard Grocer !  :-) Pour les croutons, couper dans la longueur un pain baguette, badigeonner avec un peu de beurre végane et le faire griller au four. À la sortie du four, tartiner avec le fromage à tartiner VegNature Fleur de Sel, ajouter quelques capres, des oignons verts, des avocats, du saumon de carotte, sel et poivre au goût, quelques herbes en déco et voilà. Servir avec une petite salade. Today, I think pizza ! ;-) I still have some naan bread, black corn and black bean salsa with some mushrooms, Berben and Wolff's vegan salami and spinach. Just add a few slices of VegNature 3 Peppers & Chives and bake in the oven ! With a tomato and spinach salad, it will be perfect ! Easy, fast and delicious ! :-) . _______________ . Aujourd'hui, je pense pizza !  ;-) Il me reste quelques pain naan, un fond de salsa aux maïs et haricots noirs, avec quelques champignons, le salami végane de @berbenandwolff's et des épinards. Juste à ajouter quelques tranches de VegNature 3 Poivres & Ciboulettes et hop au four ! Avec une petit salade tomate et épinard, ça va être parfait ! Un retour à la maison difficile. Zéro visibilité, routes enneigées et la majorité des voitures qui roulaient phares éteints, donc pas visibles du tout, sauf à deux pieds de ta voiture et là, tu les vois, mais ils t'éclaboussent tellement de .... disons, neige mouillé et sableuse à la fois !!!! :-| Bref, de la merde ce retour, mais bon, on est arrivés sains et saufs !  :-) Aujourd'hui, après une tempête au départ et une à l'arrivée, je me repose. Bon ok, je fais du ménage, mais après je me repose !  ;-) . _____________ . A difficult return home. Zero visibility, snow-covered roads and the majority of cars that drove headlights off, so not visible at all, except two feet from your car and then, you see them, but they splash you so much of ... let's call it sandy snow !!!! : - | In short, this return was hard, but hey, we arrived safe and sound ! :-) Today, after a storm at the start and one at the finish of my trip, I'm resting.
