and THIS SCENE!!!!! the mounting tension, xff's distress rising, the questions coming one after another - we're reaching a fever pitch. xff is nearly panicking, a vanishingly rare occurrence for her. but ysj reveals - HE KNOWS!!! he's already known!!! and he doesn't resent her, doesn't want to expose her, doesn't think she killed his cousin. he wants to help!!!

I've talked before about how ysj might feel like xff is using him and his family, and how he might resent that, but this scene...xff immediately offers to take the blame and protect him and the ye family, reminding us that she always takes care of the friends who help her. and ysj revealing that he knows her true identity solidifies their trusting relationship even further. she may be getting into an extremely dangerous position, but she has him to back her up
