Warning: I don’t really have anything interesting to say cuz I really disliked this lol
-I feel like you can really tell this story was slapped together from rough ideas Ishinomori left behind. The execution is so awkward. I feel like the overall outline has some potential but I am not having a good time.
-I like how I didn’t even notice that the cyborgs in the picture above have their new powers lol. Oops
-005′s new power (spirit) cracks me up. He reminds me of that kid from Captain Planet (”my power is heart!”)
-007′s power is honestly a huge liability (”You know it’s me if you see a belly button”). So what, they just have to check every single monster they fight for a belly button? I would be too paranoid to fight in those conditions!
-If this story were being told correctly I’d probably have a better idea of the human side of things. I have no clue how many people are still alive it kind of made it seem like the cyborg’s are fighting in a ghost town (ghost country? ghost world?)
-Really...an Easter Island head with giant boobs...REALLY!? How am I supposed to take any of this seriously!?
-Okay, you know those ridiculously grimdark My Little Pony fanfics? THAT’S WHAT THIS FEELS LIKE! It’s just one wtf after another. No, I don’t want to see the cyborgs straight up murdering people. WHY DID GERONIMO JUST SNAP A MONKEY IN HALF!? asdfghjkl
-Wooooow that backstory. I honestly felt like I just read an L.Ron Hubbard novel. I can’t tell if it was a cool idea or just stupid. I had to concentrate really hard while reading it to be able to follow it lol. I am definitely glad they (kinda sorta) explained all of the random crap that happened in this series but I still feel like some of it doesn’t really make sense.
-The ending was very similar to Re:Cyborg I would say. It’s one of those endings where you’re supposed to be like “woah! Mind blown!” but I’m just here like “thank God this shit’s over” lol
-Yeah...I didn’t care for this at all and I don’t except it as canon. Still prefer the OG ending.
