she will, in fact, lay on top of him. thank you. he is a fine (slightly stabby-limbed) mattress.
Despite having vowed to himself that he would never let Alana sleep over at his house—for a multitude of reasons, including but not limited to her medical conditions—he is less inclined to put her life at risk by driving her back to her home with a blizzard raging outside.
Their sleeping arrangements came from a suggestion he made in passing as he walked to the bathroom, shortly after leaving her two old pieces of clothing that she could put on as makeshift pajamas even if she had to promote Houston Community College in the meantime.
He didn't expect her to follow and lie on top of him when he got back, but he had nothing to complain about: he likes having her there, her weight anchoring him to the bed, the traces of perfume from her shampoo and cologne activating his senses as he wraps his arms around her waist and kisses the top of her head.
"Feelin' comfortable there, aye?"
