“I could say the say the same thing.” It made sense though, Byleth always had that.... empty look in their eyes. As if there was a constant static and emptiness on replay in the Professor’s mind. Linhardt didn’t mind it much though, it was easier to sleep during lectures when Byleth wasn’t paying attention. It could be slightly concerning though, that kind of carelessness can get someone killed. Having your favorite educator die in the heat of battle is an emotional distress you’d rather not deal with. “Professor, apologies if this sounds hypocritical, but I think it’s more important that you play an active role when the lives of your students are involved.”
